23(*) Open Trails.

Here it is folks, but wait, we think there’s more...
The 24 Hour Event is going to take out some of the
Sud/South open terrain and so we think that the
expansion will come on Nord/North which is the
typical compensation Mountain Crews make.

With any luck, there may be one very significant
Versant Sud/South Side expansion element, that
being Nansen Bas/Lower which crews work really
hard at having open as the public access to the
Resort Base during the event.

Conditions Notes:

Back to easy on the air temps, however for at least
a day, we are forecasting a high degree of cold
retention within the trail surfaces that 24 hours
ago were being subjected to mid-minus 20’s.
Due to convection, i.e. cold sinks, heat rises,
we think that cool ambient characteristic will
be in the trail surfaces practically all day.
That should make for great natural speed and
high performance control featuring aggressive
edge set capability for super-fun carving. If the
air temps do get into the surfaces later on, it will
probably be very shallow and a couple of millimetres
of soft snow over a stable cold base may add a
slightly enhanced grip level.

Please Note: Your T360 author is not yet able to
be on site due to a post-surgical, medical LOA.
We expect to have that cleared by mid-December.
Thanks for your patience. In the mean-time, we
intend to maintain the daily, chronologically filed,
weather and trail status data plus whatever
observational commentary possible for archival
date/seasonal/historical period sampling.
