It’s Supposed To Be Sunny, But It’s Definitely Foggy.

Weather Notes:

In the absence of any nearby blizzards... this temp profile
is exactly what the Mountain needs in order to maintain
trail base stability and optimally utilize snowmaking for
the expansion of newly opening terrain potential.

Please also note: There are significant prospects for
large natural snowfall potential within the long range
forecast as there are 2 major convergences of Colorado
and Texas Low systems being favourably moved over
the Tremblant regions by deflections of the Jet Stream.

We will have more forecast data on those A.S.A.P., but
attention long range Tremblant planners...

Conditions Notes:

Excellent news in an “All Things Considered” perspective,
especially when you consider there was over a week of warm
but the basic open trail count did not vary by more than a
handful the entire time. This is big evidence that the base
was well established and that it has remained so until we’re
on the other side, which is now.

Not only has that meant that Tremblant has been able to
maintain a fairly consistent degree of the previous square
area of open terrain, but with the return of more winter-like
sub-zero C temps around the clock we can now look forward
to, as we forecast, to a really significant snowmaking production
to both reshape/restore the pre-existing where necessary,
but also expand to new areas of opening trail development.
A detailed examination of the snowmaking icons in the Official
Snow Report copy below will confirm all of that.

As an additional bonus, together with the temp drop, there’s
been roughly 8 cm’s of fresh snow dusting over the past
72 hours that is absolutely going to contribute to a very fine
blend within todays freshly groomed refinements.

Please Note: Your T360 author is not yet able to
be on site due to a post-surgical, medical LOA.
We expect to have that cleared by mid-December.
12.16.23-UPDATE: Due to LOA logistical support
issues, plus Holiday season scheduling, return
delayed but working on A.S.A.P.

Thanks for your patience. In the mean-time, we
intend to maintain the daily, chronologically filed,
weather and trail status data plus whatever
observational commentary possible for archival
date/seasonal/historical period sampling.
