1/8/24 #Tremblant Conditions

Post by T360 »

.

60(*) Open Trails On All 4, Very Actively Developing Sectors At #Tremblant .

Please excuse late report today to accommodate
site logistics. Sorry about that...

Weather Notes:

Please Note: Look at the long range 14 day forecast snowfall
icons between the daytime hours and the nighttime hours.
You will see there is a substantial overlap that we are calling
a major, continuous, extended natural snowfall opportunity
period of not only catch-up after the mild Holiday Season spell,
but also seasonal game changing accumulation buildup potential.

The net effect is that this upcoming period could restore or
significantly add to what we would have expected to have in
snow on the ground depths for this date.

Conditions Notes:

Yesterday morning we wrote in our 7:07 A.M. annotated
graphic that there could be favourable backfill drift-in benefit
over the upper portions of Versant Nord/North Side terrain
from the indicated wind direction with the fresh snowfall
that could help restore the Sous Bois, Hors Piste, Glades
zones there. Today we are pleased to point out the
“progressive” opening of Trail # 66 “Le Tunnel”, # 75
Andy Moe, # 76 Axle, # 80 Windigo , PLUS, for the first
time this season... a whole big Open bunch of the Edge Sector!

Woo Whoooo! We got that one right!

Plus... from the “Winter Storm Watch” department, it looks like
Tremblant Sous Bois Fans could see a lot more over the next
48 hours or so!

--------------- 2:57 P.M. Insert Update: -----------------

Mother Nature has certainly been running less
than the usual -4C cooler Summit-To-Base
temp spread recently, however with the temps
being so well below Zero C to begin with, it’s
not critical.

Please Note: Your T360 author is not yet able to
be on site due to a post-surgical, medical LOA.
We expect to have that cleared by mid-December.
12.16.23-UPDATE: Due to LOA logistical support
issues, plus other scheduling issues, return
delayed but working on A.S.A.P.

Thanks for your patience. In the mean-time, we
intend to maintain the daily, chronologically filed,
weather and trail status data plus whatever
observational commentary possible for archival
date/seasonal/historical period sampling.

Please refresh or revisit periodically,

:) Bring Back The Memories... Research Future Visits...
If you would like to look up dates you visited Tremblant, or you
want to research days/weeks/months to visit, you can sample what
they look like historically, month by month, year by year.

When reviewing dates from any of the past, numbered, archived pages,
you can use the "Previous Topic" or "Next Topic" buttons, located
screen far right, in upper date/message bar to scroll through sequential
dates, or use your browsers "back" button to stay on the selected index
page for non-sequential date reviews in either forward or reverse order.

There are approximately 6, 25 day Index pages per season.

( If you “Bookmark" the link above, it will always take you to the
First index page with the latest posts. That gives you an immediate,
current to 25 day past, review scroll of Winter Alpine Conditions by
consecutive date.
