Weather Notes:

Wow... a 16 C rise in temps between first tracks and
last run is going to make today seem schizophrenic.

If you don’t have a handy locker to shed the layers
you’ll need for early this morning, you will absolutely
need loads of outer garment zippered vents to open
or you’re going to be as hot as furnace by shortly
after lunch hour. Today is the reason we would never
buy any serious winter jacket without torso/under-arm
zippered vents that can either keep the warmth or
allow the airflow as the variable temp conditions evolve.

Conditions Notes:

In The Groomed:

A higher degree of universally refined consistency.
Today should represent an incremental improvement
over yesterday just because of the extended period
of this little cold snap we’re experiencing.

Additionally, this high quality winter-cold with the
consequent firm overtones in the base, will likely
evolve to a softer, gentler feel underfoot as the
ambient air temps rise, especially where there is
any kind of direct solar energy component such
as Versant Sud/South Side slopes after the noon
hour for example.

In The Sous Bois/Hors Piste/Glades And Un-Groomed:

Totally a’ la carte with very widely ranging and highly
individualistic conditions spanning excellence to raw.

Very much legitimate Expert skills and experience
required, especially where once entered, there may
be no easy exits for extended descent lines of difficult
challenge.

Otherwise And Generally:

It is the last day of what is commonly the U.S.
Presidents Week Holiday period and many of
our American Cousins will be headed out at
noon so they can make the long haul back
to New England regional homes, so we would
expect a noticeable decline in traffic after the
noon hour. We could be wrong, but the typical
history shows this phenomenon to be the most
likely. What that means for more regionally
local Tremblant fans that are relatively close to
home, is that the afternoon may hold both very
mild, even warm ski conditions with light traffic.

:) Bring Back The Memories... Research Future Visits...
If you would like to look up dates you visited Tremblant, or you
want to research days/weeks/months to visit, you can sample what
they look like historically, month by month, year by year.

When reviewing dates from any of the past, numbered, archived pages,
you can use the "Previous Topic" or "Next Topic" buttons, located
screen far right, in upper date/message bar to scroll through sequential
dates, or use your browsers "back" button to stay on the selected index
page for non-sequential date reviews in either forward or reverse order.

There are approximately 6, 25 day Index pages per season.

( If you “Bookmark" the link above, it will always take you to the
First index page with the latest posts. That gives you an immediate,
current to 25 day past, review scroll of Winter Alpine Conditions by
consecutive date.
