AhRelief !! ,

Great Ski conditions are here again at Tremblant,
Yes !!, the Mt. conditions are excellent for gripping & CARVING,
especially with SHARP EDGES to ensure maximum Fun, Safety,
and Performance.

Just as proper: rest, exercise , nutrition , positive mental attitude (PMA) ,
and optimal (mind-body-spirit communication) nerve flow play key roles
to our overall health, safety, and performance ; so does proper clothing,
training, and equipment to enjoy our the best (ski) days of our life!

No matter what Mt. you are on, you need to come prepared to maximize your
fun, performance & safety. So far this season I have witnessed & heard of
countless injuries  and complaints like frostbite  . Although clothing
and equipment has improved greatly over the years including snowmaking and
grooming , there are still many common injuries! Why... :?:
To ski downhill is a unique thrilling & daring adventure... :o

I was raised in the Rocky Mt.s where skiing over 38 years ago was not as technical
as it is with the icy conditions in the northeast , so I have learned to enjoy new aspects
of skiing besides swooshing down as fast as possible on-
No edges- or- totally out of control- !

Have you ever tried to skate with dull edges :?:
Or with skate guards on :?:

How about driving a car or bicycle with a flat tire , or no tires :?: :?
or no alignment or steering  :?:

shaving with dull razor :?:   :x :(

now you still may try and do these things but they are not as fun or safe!

It is vital in many aspects of life to - sharpen your saw- or edges as
Steven Covey has said in his book - 7 habits of highly effective people-

Skiing is no different than other sports that involve speed & risk, and being
use to good sharp edges is key to fun, prevention of injuries, control , speed ,
turning , safety, and performance!

If you can carve a Turkey @ thanksgiving or Xmas you can learn to wear it
off that extra turkey CARVING on the ski hill and enjoy the speed and control
on those icy patches you may encounter, and have more fun!

In my 21 years of experience as a professional health care practitioner ,
my experience shows that the prevention of injuries with proper training
and equipment are keys to health , safety, learning and the enjoyment with
almost any sports.
