Conditions Notes:

In The Groomed:

Today is going to be the beginning of the common spring
skiing daily pattern where the mornings are very firm after
an overnight Sub-Zero C, followed by a significant temp
rise well into the Plus Zero C range that will eventually soften
surfaces by mid-day, then may ultimately cause late afternoon
saturations.

The “Sweet Spot” in each day may start around 10:30 A.M.,
and will exist on a rotational basis til last run. The use of the
word “rotational” is in reference to the difference between
the Sud/South and Nord/North sides where the Sud/South gets
significant afternoon solar intensity at the same time the temps
have risen well above Zero C, while the Nord/North side gets
shadowed or oblique sun with far less snow surface exposure.

In The Sous Bois/Hors Piste/Glades And Un-Groomed:

The same temp profile from above typically means that
the mornings are solidly lumpy with icy overtones,
progressively evolving to the, classic, beautifully soft
spring skiing known for it’s very forgiving, energy
absorbing, gravity cushion effects.
