Tremblant was really nice and really easy.

The newest snow is very typical of cold-formed where
there is a slight frictional characteristic, so steeps were
considerably more controllable, shallower areas needed
a bit of skating action but were still very traversable,
albeit with a bit less speed.

Temps dropping way back down tonight so that’s all
going to be a repeat functionally for tomorrow.

You will however need most every layer you got....

mid minus twenties to start folks, it guuna be a cool one...

One Day Of Easy...

After all the recent cold starts, and just before another cold
start tomorrow, we get a one day break that when it hits
the -4C high, is going to feel like a day at the beach.

This is a great opportunity to explore for sweet spots
like the ones pictured above/below on Versant Soleil
and Nord/North Lowell Thomas. It’s easy to get around
and easy to find exceptional conditions that have great
consistency not only in individual trail surfaces, but
seamless connectivity between skill levels as well.

Conditions Notes:

In The Groomed:

We think there is some potential for so-far “Best Of Season”
because of a combination of factors including, but not
limited to, cold effects generating superb snow quality,
cold effects that have kept attendance low and reduced
traffic wear, repeated daily grooming cycles increasing
the levels of refinement, plus... new, fresh overnight
snowfall.

Our forecast includes projections for very fine learning
surfaces that have high composition of cold-formed
natural snowfall in the top layers that are very forgiving
and will offer a near seamless integration between
skill level rated terrain making additional challenge
easier for Beginners and Intermediate’s to work up to.

In The Sous Bois/Hors Piste/Glades and Un-Groomed:

Some of the same light traffic factors of the cold-snap
apply to all open Sous Bois terrain. With lower attendance
numbers there’s just less traffic in the bush and that
should easily translate to a wider variety of higher
quality that will still include a lot of fresh powder lines
in the Hors Piste/Glades.

Look for lee-side drift-in patterns for soft mogul zones,
we think there will be lots of great easy bump runs today,
that should have great all day availability. This is your
chance to beat the weekend rush and for the most part,
we think you’ll find yourself just about all alone out in
the bumps and out in the woods.
