Saved by the bell... Again!
While much of the surrounding area to the South and South-West
suffer from warm temps, Tremblant continues to be just on the
right side of the freezing mark, thereby preserving our base.
On top of that there is more Snow in the forecast! ...perhaps
another 5 cm/2 inches or so.
Admittedly, when the temps are this close to the freezing mark,
the possibility of going over into the plus range exists. That would
be another reason for suggesting that you get out now, before there
is any potential change in the surface that could be caused by any
warm temp cycle.
In terms of long range planning, anything we get now, warm or cold,
will be handled and/or compensated for by the Tremblant Mountain
Crews within a 48 hour time period typically, so if you are going to
be here in future weeks, don't worry, Tremblant has a very durable
base right now that is quite capable of holding its own.

While we have not had a major single blizzard yet, what we have had
is a steady accumulation of 2 to 4 inches every second day or so for
about 2 weeks and that has been a very positive factor in keeping
the quality up on our surfaces.
Steady open trail count at 92, with a full range of groomed terrain for
all skill levels from beginner through to expert on almost 60 kilometers
of classic Tremblant descents.
At the risk of being repetitive, we have been saying that you really
should be getting out to take advantage of these uniquely great
conditions for weeks and that is no less true for today. It does not
matter what your skill set is, if you like fresh air , great exercise
and more fun than you can shake a stick at, then you should be
here now. The variety of quality terrain for Beginners, Intermediates
and Experts is quite special.
NATIONAL SNOW INDUSTRIES TRADE SHOW ON FOR NEXT 3 DAYS,
South Side Base, bottom of Johannsen.
You can't miss all the displays set up at the bottom of Johannsen,
however, this show is by invitation only and is unfortunately not
open to the public.
Sorry to report that this show is not open to the public, however, you
will be able to see all the latest trick gear ripping up the Mountain as
industry Rep's demo the latest technologies. Keep an eye out in the lift
zones for all the neat looking new gear and if you hang around the gates
of the show itself, there is no doubt you will see lots of next seasons
equipment on the slopes today!
It's a tough chore, but someone's got to do it, so we'll have multiple
reporters covering Skis, SnowBoards and everything else. Should have
Pic's up over the next couple of days, so stay tuned.

Beside the Trail name, the first "Tick" Column indicates "Open”,
the second, "Snowmaking", and the third, "Groomed".
Do not miss any opportunity to hit the slopes at Tremblant,
if you can swing it... GO!
