Open trail count down to 89 this A.M. as there are several
runs off-line, dedicated to race activity.

SEE yesterday's reply for brief intro on NSIA trade show,
Equipment Review.

The bright sunshine that was forecast has not materialized yet,
but the conditions are still very good for all skill levels.
Nice, easy-5C Temps

The groomed surfaces are exceptional in terms of grip.
If you have tuned equipment, you can stand sideways as
you carve with complete confidence that your edge will hold.
It is so much fun to be able to rely on edges as you ride the
limits of centrifugal force, carving turns one after the other
without fear or hesitation.

We are involved with the National Snow Industries Association
Trade Show, on now at the bottom of Johannsen, so it's off to
the hill we go to collect more data on the new gear that’s
headed your way next season.

Sorry for the shortness of the report, but we are trying to collect
as much data from the trade show as we can which we will sort
through as time permits. Basically, if you look at all the good points,
conditions wise, from the reports of the last 2 weeks, it all pretty
much applies to today.

The Skiing and Boarding are excellent, and if you're not here,
you're missing a great opportunity for fresh air, exercise and
all the natural beauty of Tremblant.

The skiing today was a privilege.

A ton of hard work has gone into the preparation of our
surfaces and it shows in the quality.

Any problems we have are "Wish List" material, such as a
blizzard that puts 4 ft of snow on the Mountain to fill in
some glitches here and there, otherwise, in our opinion,
it is just about as good as it can be.

The grip today continued to be outstanding, particularly on
the groomed runs, but with fresh edges on your gear, today
was "Hook up and Go!", just about anywhere you went.
A great day to work on edge set technique. Even the shear
face of Expo was controllable today with fresh sharp edges.

All over the Mountain people seemed to be very happy with
the surface quality and we were too.

More later, and as time permits, additional material from the NSIA
trade show including a review of some very nice Rossi Slalom Skis.
