59 Open Trails this A.M. as Soleil and the Edge
are off line to preserve what can be kept.

There are other closures on both the South and North sides
and several "Progressive" or gradual openings as the Patrol
and Mountain crews survey things during the day.
"How to ski in the rain" ... We have had some of our best
Tremblant days ever, skiing in Spring rain. Wet snow offers
greatly increased resistance, so in functional terms, you can
go down steeper fall lines and speed will not kill you the
way it does otherwise. As long as you are properly dressed
with the appropriate Poncho, you too can stay dry and
comfortable on a day like today and you can actually
enjoy terrain that might not normally even go on.

Making the best of today means correct preparation
(see Skiing in the rain reference and link above),
but there will still be good Spring conditions,
so it is up to us to adapt and take advantage
of things the way they are!

the rain, strong winds and milder temperatures.
The Versant Edge, Soleil, runs and lifts, will be closed
for the day. The south Side is closed for the day because
of the strong winds. The access to the mountain is
presently by the north side only. We will do our best
to offer you as much terrain as possible; however
our operating hours may change at any time due
to changing mountain conditions. Our snow conditions
web page on tremblant.ca will be updated regularly
throughout the day.
