O.K., so it’s a bit snowy/cloud-foggy/snowmaking weather at the top, but...

A Huge Jump In Open Trails/Terrain!

Incremental Refinements Across The Range Of Groomed...

Big Access Recovery/Expansion Across The Sous Bois Group...

NEW SECTOR OPEN - Edge Sector On Progressive OPEN!

And all that, plus... easy all winter, new snowfall weather!

(*) 24 hours ago the initial open trail number was 49, now
it’s 77, so when there’s that much of a jump, checking with
the unique Info. Ski Crews at their Summit station is a critically
important consult that will make everything from your next run,
to your entire day, a better, more positive skiing experience. period.
In addition to the valuable insights from both decades of experience
to point you in the right direction for your skills, abilities or terrain
preferences, as well as the shared knowledge of todays field reporting
conditions specifics, the Official Open Trail list is posted on station
for immediate review.

Weather Notes:

Despite the early forecasts that suggested we might see a
lot of heat, it now looks like we’ll have authentic early winter
continuously, without interruption, for the foreseeable Holiday
time period future. Fantastic news for continuity in genuine
White Christmas conditions!

Conditions Notes:

In The Groomed:

Multiple days of small daily snowfall accumulations when
combined with every repeat night-shift of grooming is quite
nearly ideal for the production of very smooth and refined
front-side slopes across the entire range of skill levels, so we
think it’s going to be a fantastic day for everything from superb
technical carving to the most basic “First Day On Skis” for absolute
“Never seen snow before” Beginners(#).

(#) Last week we had the pleasure of meeting a wonderful
family up from Tampa, Florida, for a pre-Christmas holiday.
The group had all ranges of ages and quite a variable range
of experience too, but in the mix was a “Never Seen Snow Before,
First Day Ever On Skis” person who was having a great first time
because she was also an active “Beach Volleyball” competitor.

This speaks volumes about the cross-application suitability
of winter sports participation for “Never-Ever’s” who have
a solid base in any other sport where agility is a primary
component of top level performance. And... it is every good
reason for anyone reading this journal from far away, thinking
or wondering about a new adventure in Skiing to confidently
take initiative A.S.A.P.. If you’re a good dancer, you can skate
or surf, or you play tennis or beach volleyball, for only a few of
hundred of examples, you’ve already got a huge advantage in the
immediate application of the dynamic balance needed and skiing
will be an easy learn, right from the first day.

Additionally, when you have a trail like Nansen, now at 6 kilometres
of a continuous, gentle as a golf course fairway, single decent
pathway to develop on, you have one of the very best places on
planet Earth to learn at, which is even more amazing because it’s
been exactly like that since it was first cut in 1939!

In The Sous Bois/Hors Piste/Glades and Un-Groomed:

New daily accumulating snowfall is the key to renewed
access and restored quality.

There will be hazards, there will be crusty bits, but there
are acres and aces of thrilling adventure too, so take your
time, explore with conservative slow speeds and have fun!
