Weather Notes:

Today Is Exactly Why We Label Our Main
Weather Graphic With...

The Big "if..."

All the supplementary forecast data suggesting
a weeks long durability in our exposure to the
Polar Vortex was prepared within the last 30
some-odd hours and relevant up to the last 6 hours.

Now look at the extended forecast for a week
from today... Suddenly a Zero C appears????

What’s with that??? If, if, if....

What’s Going On With The Weather ???

Are these long range forecast models all incorrect?

Certainly we’re all going to have to endure
East Coast cool in the immediate future, but
looking at the latest local long range, there
seems to be some cracks developing in the
models that suggest more normal temp ranges
could be returning?

If, if, if...

We are letting these forecast models run
anyway, if for no other reason that in the
future reality of our weather, the perspectives
of forecast models can be seen as valid or
otherwise.

Conditions Notes:

In The Groomed:

As highlighted in the feature of this post, when
you see Versant Nord/North Side Banzai and
Marie-Claude Asselin on the Groomed list...

You KNOW Everything Else On In The Groomed Is Excellent.

In The Sous Bois/Hors Piste/Glades and Un-Groomed:

The above noted grooming of Banzai/MCA takes them
from very raw, irregular mogul zones to a level re-set,
from which they will likely be left to return to bumps,
a process we might call periodic grooming in select Sous
Bois trails.

This process evens out the irregular bumps generated
by the differences between skis and boards that eventually
lack rhythm for either. Fantastic re-set news for these
gorgeous trails.

The balance of the group continue to be very fine for
this time period although with holiday traffic since
the last big snow, careful, slow speed explorations
are required for all initial descents as distinct wear
patterns evolve that can develop hazards. Use your
head when going into unfamiliar areas, common sense
reduces risks and optimizes fun with safety as the number
1 priority.

:) Bring Back The Memories... Research Future Visits...
If you would like to look up dates you visited Tremblant, or you
want to research days/weeks/months to visit, you can sample what
they look like historically, month by month, year by year.

When reviewing dates from any of the past, numbered, archived pages,
you can use the "Previous Topic" or "Next Topic" buttons, located
screen far right, in upper date/message bar to scroll through sequential
dates, or use your browsers "back" button to stay on the selected index
page for non-sequential date reviews in either forward or reverse order.

There are approximately 6, 25 day Index pages per season.

 If you “Bookmark" the link above, it will always take you to the
First index page with the latest posts. That gives you an immediate,
current to 25 day past, review scroll of Winter Alpine Conditions by
consecutive date.
