Regardless of skill level, there is no better place on
the entire East Coast of North America to do your
warmup first runs, than on Nansen at Tremblant.

At just over 6 kilometres in length, Versant Sud,
South Side Nansen offers an extraordinary length
and consistency that is unmatched in reliable day-in,
day-out quality and it is quite nearly perfect for
waking up muscles in preparation for the day’s
skiing adventure. And “Wake Them Up” you will,
because we can tell you for a fact that if you can
carve tight radius “SL” style turns for 6 continuous
Km’s right out of the box at sunrise, even a legitimate
Expert can turn quad muscles into jello.

For Beginners, Intermediates and all those seeking
to elevate the nuance of technique and/or style, having
6 km’s of uninterrupted distance is a practice environment
the value of which can not be overstated.

We wrote about this yesterday and we are repeating it today
because it is one of the single most important assets to the
rate of development that any serious, sincere, aspiring
ski skill builder will have as fundamental component of
a ski holiday that includes any improvement objectives.

Since 1939, Nansen at Tremblant is a gift that any skier,
and any skill level, can receive and benefit from. You can
take skills you build here and go anywhere in the World
and be a better skier for it. period.

Weather Notes:

Notwithstanding the vigorous, maybe even howling
windy ambiance that you’ll afce in some sectors...

Enjoy Nice ’n Easy temps while you can today,
‘cause the picture’s about to change, starting tomorrow.

Conditions Notes:

In The Groomed:

If a picture is worth a thousand words, then
the Nansen Pitch photo above tells you roughly
99.782% of what you need to know.

Summary: Average Is Excellent.

In The Sous Bois/Hors Piste/Glades and Un-Groomed:

33cm’s/13 inches, over a foot, of fresh new snowfall in
48 hours is a game changing factor for the entire array
of Sous Bois Open terrain.

For legitimate Experts, forgiveness, fun and adventure
are everywhere, however if you are either a “Holiday”
or “Weekend” Warrior, so-to-speak, then you need
to be aware of the above average muscle demand that
can be experienced with deep accumulations sometimes
requiring both brute force and highly developed skills
to navigate in that can tax your endurance levels to
thresholds you may reach suddenly.

Pace yourself. Temper enthusiasm with cautious speeds
on all initial explorations. Sudden depths of up to double
or more than the Official snowfall stat’s may be encountered
between or around descending Mountain topographical contours.

Somewhere out there today there are knee-deep, face-shot
drift lines.

From The Archives...

Here’s a fuzzy little forecast pic. of your author here
doing “Field Research” on a Sous Bois day like we’re
forecasting today.

:) Bring Back The Memories... Research Future Visits...
If you would like to look up dates you visited Tremblant, or you
want to research days/weeks/months to visit, you can sample what
they look like historically, month by month, year by year.

When reviewing dates from any of the past, numbered, archived pages,
you can use the "Previous Topic" or "Next Topic" buttons, located
screen far right, in upper date/message bar to scroll through sequential
dates, or use your browsers "back" button to stay on the selected index
page for non-sequential date reviews in either forward or reverse order.

There are approximately 6, 25 day Index pages per season.

 If you “Bookmark" the link above, it will always take you to the
