In A World Of Scientifically Legitimate Global Warming...
Authentic Winter, Authentic Tremblant.

It is a privilege to have real, genuine, authentic winter and
Eastern North America may be one of the most concentrated
zones of “Like The Good Old Days” on the planet right now.
Anecdotally, anyone paying attention to global
climatic conditions on either scientific or just
even "eyes wide open" observations, can see that
this winter is not the same in many Northern
Hemispheric zones.
The snowpack in the western sectors of North
America are as low as 50% of normal for this
date and as we’ve been watching F.I.S. World
Cup Skiing on the European Alp's leg of the circuit
leading up to the 2026 Winter Olympics in Italy,
even up to the last 48 hours, in many cases the only
snow visible has been blown in on the ski racing
competition track and the surrounding valley’s and
mountain-sides are largely brown and barren.
Cold is the primary permission for snow and in that
regard we’ve been blessed with abundance on both.
We can handle cold, and we can certainly handle the
fantastic, genuine real winter conditions that we are
enjoying as a consequence.
No matter where you are in the world, if you want winter,
Tremblant is the place to be.
Weather Notes:
Wow, not only is it relatively easy compared to
the recent depth of cold-snap, but look at that
Long Range forecast, super nice and sunny with
MILD temps!
----------- 1.29.26 - Supplementary Weather Data: -------------
As usual... We routinely include regional, continental and global
weather context to show present and future readers that Tremblant
weather does not exist in a bubble. Tremblant sometimes gets an
unfair label as “Cold”, when in reality we are almost never alone.
In the recent experience, estimates of over 100 Million east coast
inhabitants have been affected by severe winter storm systems
spanning over 3,200Km’s and running in an active linear pathway
from Mexico to Labrador.
------------------------------------------
Conditions Notes:
In The Groomed:
Fun, easy and quite close to seamless between
all skill levels, conditions that continue to exhibit
the technical excellence that comes from successive
weeks and weeks of pure winter conditions that have
not had any significant thaw influence since we can’t
remember when.
In The Sous Bois/Hors Piste/Glades and Un-Groomed:
This entire group is what you might call...
"An Abundance Of Riches”.
A year ago on this date, we had 320cm’s,
today we have 368cm’s, that’s half a metre
more right now and the quality of the Sous
Bois experience is at the highest overall
levels within historic references for the end
of January.
Is it perfect? Perfect is only a concept so of
course there are naturally occurring challenges,
but that’s exactly the adventure Sous Bois fans
are looking for!
