Tremblant Official Trail Number 1, “Bon Vivant"

From the peak of the Nord/North Edge Sector, traversing to
the Nor-West and intersecting with the old Nansen “S” on
Versant Sud, the South Side.

No, they’re not fancy action shots, but they
are a natural wonder every visiting Tremblant
guest should see at least once on any ski holiday
visit by taking Bon Vivant from the top of the Edge,
over to Nansen.

Tremblant is a “Precambrian” geological feature
and as such it is arguable that when you visit here
you are standing on the oldest rock on Planet Earth.

Over 4 Billion years of Mother natures work has reduced
peaks that Geologists estimate were over 60,000Ft., double
the current height of Mt. Everest, to what you see here and
this is now home to not only an extraordinary Alpine Skiing
domain, but to one of the most gorgeous examples of Boreal
Forest you are ever going to get a chance to be this close to.

The etherial, serene beauty here is naturally spiritual and
to pass through this magnificent scenery is a rare opportunity
to connect with the very origins of the planet.

Of course, riding up to get to Bon Vivant puts
you at the top of the Edge Sector so there’s
another whole domain to explore as well.

Suffice to say that you’ll find a big group of
regional Sous Bois fans here on the expansive
Sous Bois and Hors Piste. However, once they’re off
the lift, they literally disappear into the woods and
that’s where they spend hours seeking out the outboard
powder lines.

Yesterday’s eventual overcast brought the snowfall
that will yet again raise the quality bar for today.
These incremental new snow events are just as
welcome for the super-fine skiing performance
as they are for the increased base depth that will
enhance later season durability.

Conditions Notes:

In The Groomed:

Wow... This is why we recommend prospective Tremblant
Ski Holiday planners with discretionary timing to consider
early February as an ideal target. What we have is the fully
mature season with many, many days of 100% open terrain
that has received many, many overnight-shift grooming
refinement cycles and the seamless quality is wall-to-wall
with peak consistency, everywhere, and for all skill levels.

In The Sous Bois/Hors Piste/Glades and Un-Groomed:

Primo Eastern Soft-Pack with a light, fluffy, dry consistency
typical of cold-formed natural snow with very little internal
humidity. Fast, forgiving and fun.

For sure, there are well established traffic patterns in the
interior Sous Bois and Glades, so you do need to be careful
with speed control entering zones that can see dramatic
gravitational onset over irregular topographical contours
where mogul packing has occurred, but that’s exactly the
kind of “Adventure Around Every Corner” that legitimate
bushwhacking Experts crave!

:) Bring Back The Memories... Research Future Visits...
If you would like to look up dates you visited Tremblant, or you
want to research days/weeks/months to visit, you can sample what
they look like historically, month by month, year by year.

When reviewing dates from any of the past, numbered, archived pages,
you can use the "Previous Topic" or "Next Topic" buttons, located
screen far right, in upper date/message bar to scroll through sequential
dates, or use your browsers "back" button to stay on the selected index
page for non-sequential date reviews in either forward or reverse order.

There are approximately 6, 25 day Index pages per season.

 If you “Bookmark" the link above, it will always take you to the
First index page with the latest posts. That gives you an immediate,
current to 25 day past, review scroll of Winter Alpine Conditions by
consecutive date.
