someone we know...

"If I Passed Away And Found Myself Doing Laps On P’tit Bonheur,

I’d Think I’d Have Found Myself In Heaven."

A Front-Side Carvers Paradise.

One Exact Reason You Should Choose Tremblant.

The story goes that Erik Guay’s(#) father, an instructor/coach
here at Tremblant, would take his young race protégés to Nansen
for training there to teach them the subtle arts of technique and
style because many of the most desirable skills can be developed
when the terrain is not threateningly steep and nuance can be
taught more easily before working up to steeper, faster levels.
((#) Tremblant’s local F.I.S. World Cup Champion.)

It is in this way that P’tit Bonheur also works, and for all ranges of
skill levels who want to thrive and grow. Everyone from aspiring
Beginners/Intermediates to well established Expert front-side
carvers, anyone capable of using current style parabolically
shaped skis for their intended purpose, can benefit from lapping
descent cycles on this magnificent trail.

It’s not that P’tit Bonheur is better than Nansen, It’s not that
Nansen is better than P’tit Bonheur, it’s just different in a
unique and meaningful way.

The benefit, the way we see it, is that P’tit Bonheur has 6 distinct,
gently progressive topographical steps along its descent line and
those steps are very effective at simultaneously allowing and teaching
(those willing to practice skills development), the relationships
between pitch angle and both the thrust and glide properties of
applied carving technique at very manageable alternations of pitch
and plateau that help you form an easily controllable, natural
speed regulation.

Doing laps here with the right, genuine and properly tuned carving skis,
will make you a better front-side carving technician in an hour. period.

It is simply one of the finest, most enjoyable, incredibly beautiful,
technical carving development trails on the East Coast of North America.

Here’s file shot, mid-P’tit Bonheur, POV Down, and yes, it
works for all our Snowboard friends the very same way...

Conditions Notes:

In The Groomed:

Superb, connective, seamlessly integrated pristine corduroy.

In The Sous Bois/Hors Piste/Glades and Un-Groomed:

This new, big dump is exactly what was needed for a refresher
so go wild exploring but be mindful that trees don’t move if
you try to push them out of your way.

:) Bring Back The Memories... Research Future Visits...
If you would like to look up dates you visited Tremblant, or you
want to research days/weeks/months to visit, you can sample what
they look like historically, month by month, year by year.

When reviewing dates from any of the past, numbered, archived pages,
you can use the “Previous Topic" or "Next Topic" buttons, located
screen far right, in upper date/message bar to scroll through sequential
dates, or use your browsers "back" button to stay on the selected index
page for non-sequential date reviews in either forward or reverse order.

There are approximately 6, 25 day Index pages per season.

 If you “Bookmark" the link above, it will always take you to the
First index page with the latest posts. That gives you an immediate,
current to 25 day past, review scroll of Winter Alpine Conditions by
consecutive date.
