T.G.I.F.!

Thank Goodness It's Friday!

Is this the start of your long Tremblant weekend?
If so, you are in for a rare treat!

94 runs open under brilliantly sunny skies
with a forecasted high of -10C. There will be
lots of thermal energy in the sun today, so if you're
feeling cool, a few moments basking in the sun
in a quiet trail side shelter will take care of that!

What we have here at Tremblant is a most
remarkable recovery from the thaw event of 13 days
ago. That thaw now seems like a distant memory,
erased by over 20 inches, or 50 cm of fresh, thick, dry
powder snow that has fallen in stages since then.
This new snow has been carefully packed and groomed
by the Tremblant mountain crews who are the masters of
efficiently working with Mother Nature to maximize the quality
and durability of our surfaces.

It is very easy to say that we have the best conditions
of the season at Tremblant right now. Looking at the Pic's
included today, as well as the previous days of the week,
it should be immediately apparent that the snow quality is
exceptional.

We have cold "squeaky" snow and as any expert skier or
boarder will confirm, this "squeaky" cold snow has the best
traction and edge set properties with the least resistance
possible. The result is "Fast" conditions with control.
We call that carving heaven.

We are still recommending that you use caution around trail
intersections, trail run out/lift upload zones and steep trail sections
where there are some slick areas that could cause braking problems.
Speed is dangerous in these areas and there are beginners
and visitors that may be unfamiliar with things, so please
be careful.

Exceptional conditions, light mountain traffic, beautiful scenery
all add up to a great day at Tremblant!
