Conditions Notes:
In The Groomed:
Very fine to excellent to begin with, across all ranges
of skill levels, however with respect to the corduroy,
we do say “to begin with” because it is the beginning of
the Quebec School Break period and loads of ski enthusiasts
blend a 3 day weekend into the mix so it could be busy and
that may accelerate wear factors on the top corduroy layers
later in the day.
One thing we fully expect for the entire day is the smoothness.
There is a predominantly firm base of very durable depth
support from weeks on end of Polar Vortex and that is a very
reliable mogul resistant foundation.
The recent 9 cm’s is absolutely going to make a positive
difference but wherever traffic is focused around intersections
or narrowing concentration zones, keep an eye out for slippery
bits if the loose cover gets moved off.
Likewise, depending on traffic, steeper pitches may show
some wear generated very firm base exposures, particularly
in trail centres, so if you are a legitimate Expert, make sure
you have genuine Expert level tuned gear.
In The Sous Bois/Hors Piste/Glades and Un-Groomed:
The new snow will be noticeable in some places but the underlaying
firm and well traffic pattern worn base, will continue to be Experts only
challenge with solidly embanked moguls and Hors Piste descent lines.
There’s lots of base depth though, so minimal hazards from that
standpoint, you just need to keep absolute speed control in terrain
full of launch ramps and trees.

Please Note:
There has been a delay in the reopening due to a mechanical
issue as detailed in the February 26 Tremblant Blog excerpts
below, however....
We are still taking a positive point of view on this one and
specifically referring to it as an “Upgrade” because when
the manufacture has to come in for something as
fundamentally significant as a primary motor drive
replacement, you don’t just slap in the part and go home.
Typically, when such a major component gets replaced,
the entire drive system will receive a reset alignment
calibration in addition to fresh bearings, belts, seals,
sensors, etc., etc., and to us, that’s a functional upgrade.

Bring Back The Memories...
Research Future Visits...
If you would like to look up dates you visited Tremblant, or you
want to research days/weeks/months to visit, you can sample what
they look like historically, month by month, year by year.
When reviewing dates from any of the past, numbered, archived pages,
you can use the “Previous Topic" or "Next Topic" buttons, located
screen far right, in upper date/message bar to scroll through sequential
dates, or use your browsers "back" button to stay on the selected index
page for non-sequential date reviews in either forward or reverse order.
There are approximately 6, 25 day Index pages per season.
If you “Bookmark" the link above, it will always take you to the
First index page with the latest posts. That gives you an immediate,
current to 25 day past, review scroll of Winter Alpine Conditions by
consecutive date.
