Weather Notes:

This is most unusual, the 30 year average temp for this date
is +3 C, so statistically, this early -20 C is way out of line.

Please See Attached Supplementary Weather Data Below.

Conditions Notes:

In The Groomed:

Increased levels of refinement over yesterday as
most of the freshly groomed now have a second
pass and under such obviously cold circumstances,
smoothness, scope and the even consistency of
snow particle size enhanced by a considerable
amount of integrated freshly fallen new snow are
all expected outcomes.

In The Sous Bois/Hors Piste/Glades and Un-Groomed:

Here we have an improving situation after the recent
weather and we expect that there could be significant
re-open’s as we think there’s enough of a new snow
cushion to restore safe access in many Sous Bois zones.

There is a cross-over/sub-category in the Un-Groomed
which are periodic re-set groomed which are done a couple
or three times per season to level out the currently very
uneven/irregular bumps that are generated by the
different mechanical effects between skis and boards.
They are also our “Canaries In The Coal Mine” for ultimate
trail refinements here at Tremblant, specifically, Versant
Nord/North Side trails Marie-Claude Asselin, Banzai and
Le Tunnel, respectively #’s 64, 65, and 66.

We are hoping these will get their grooming re-set as they’ve
been closed for quite a while and the existing irregular bumps
do not have any rhythm, so their naturally beautiful, Tremblant
unique, rolling topography has become an awkward labour. Keep
your eyes peeled for this routine maintenance because these
trails come alive for a X 100’s greater audience, and... within
one hour of opening groomed, you’ll see many Ski Instructors
here with enthusiastic students doing laps because these trails
will literally make you a better skier.

See our post in this journal from January 3, 2026 for a historical
context reference on this subject.

:) Bring Back The Memories... Research Future Visits...
If you would like to look up dates you visited Tremblant, or you
want to research days/weeks/months to visit, you can sample what
they look like historically, month by month, year by year.

When reviewing dates from any of the past, numbered, archived pages,
you can use the “Previous Topic" or "Next Topic" buttons, located
screen far right, in upper date/message bar to scroll through sequential
dates, or use your browsers "back" button to stay on the selected index
page for non-sequential date reviews in either forward or reverse order.

There are approximately 6, 25 day Index pages per season.

 If you “Bookmark" the link above, it will always take you to the
First index page with the latest posts. That gives you an immediate,
current to 25 day past, review scroll of Winter Alpine Conditions by
consecutive date.
