What The Weather Forecast Is Not Telling You...

The atmospheric tipping points would suggest there
could be sufficient warmth for universal softness, however
on the ground, what’s missing in that is the effects of
3 months of Polar Vortex embedded frost acting as a
source of stored, outwardly radiating, refrigerant from below.

That means the base is solid... and while the majority of the
freshly groomed should be fine, that solid foundation may
show itself through either naturally occurring topographical
shapes or traffic patterns.

On the flip-side, any new snowfall today could significantly
and positively affect conditions, albeit to variable degrees
depending on the volume... fingers crossed on that one...

Info.Ski Consult Advisory:

It is essential to consult with the Summit Info.Ski
Crews if you want to optimize time on the Mountain
today. In addition to directions and suitable terrain
assessments, the dynamics of a potentially highly
variable Open access list(posted on display here
on the frame-right side), are all immediately available
with one quick stop.

Weather Notes:

Yikes!!! The long range 10 day forecast is now the
end-of-season forecast with April 19, closing day
being shown, and it looks like it could be a wintery
finish.

Of course it’s way too early for certainty on that, but
one thing seems for sure which is that next mid-week
could see some heat/wet and generally be authentic April...

Conditions Notes:

Generally:

The word of the day is going to “Select”, because there
are roughly 1,453,233 wild cards of tipping point balance
conditions between open and closed, good, not so good,
very fine, quite icy, best of all “Snowing”, but overall, rapidly
alternating genuine “Spring” weather induced variation.

You need to be ready for anything and the whole day is
going to be a great adventure of adaptive evolution.

The biggest evidence of all of that is the number of
progressive time-delayed trail opens(initially 70 out
of 85 ???) that are subject to Ski Patrol certifications,
as well as we can tell you there is very unusual day-time
grooming that is currently restricting zones that will
follow as open.

At first tracks this morning, the entire Nord/North side
is closed/restricted however we do expect that to clear
shortly.

---------- Equipment Caveat: -----------

If you don’t bring sharp Ski/Board edges to any Mountain
in any “Spring” conditions, you’re “Nuts”, “Crazy”, “Silly”
but critically, not safe. BE PREPARED.

:) Bring Back The Memories... Research Future Visits...
If you would like to look up dates you visited Tremblant, or you
want to research days/weeks/months to visit, you can sample what
they look like historically, month by month, year by year.

When reviewing dates from any of the past, numbered, archived pages,
you can use the “Previous Topic" or "Next Topic" buttons, located
screen far right, in upper date/message bar to scroll through sequential
dates, or use your browsers "back" button to stay on the selected index
page for non-sequential date reviews in either forward or reverse order.

There are approximately 6, 25 day Index pages per season.

 If you “Bookmark" the link above, it will always take you to the
First index page with the latest posts. That gives you an immediate,
current to 25 day past, review scroll of Winter Alpine Conditions by
consecutive date.
