Hang in there, Tremblant Ski/Board Fans!
Unfortunately, the words "Sun", "Snow" and "Hot"
do not go in the same sentence for very long and it
seems as though we are facing the inevitable
reduction in trail coverage that comes every spring.
Spring Rule #1
The true believers are always thankful for whatever
they can Ski or Board.
Open trail count @48...

Sample of South Side runs on-line today. Alpine is
listed as "Race", but typically, as soon as that activity
winds up, the run is open to the public.

The http://www.tremblant.ca Official Snow Report states:
"There is a grooming strategy that is being used after
we experienced big variations in temperature – it
consists of several phases and protects our runs for
the future."
We support this strategy because the wear and tear
from the last several weeks of high traffic holidays,
including U.S. Presidents Week, plus both Quebec and
Ontario School Breaks necessitates both maintenance
and restoration in order to keep usable snow surfaces that
will have the durability to reach the projected seasons
Grand Finale on April 11th.
Spring Rule #2
There will always be great Skiing and Boarding
somewhere within the open terrain at Tremblant,
the Mountain Crews take care of that.
Spring Rule #2 Acknowledges that:
A) There will always be hazards within the open terrain,
such as may exist due to; being uncovered during daily
use, and or located in areas intentionally not groomed,
such as designated mogul runs/zones, and/or weather
conditions that are not controllable, for example.
B) That matching ideal terrain to any users skill level
is a very individual choice made by the user and it is
therefore up to the user to cautiously explore the open
terrain to locate conditions best suited to their skills.
Bottom line on rule #2... "use your head" with highly
variable Spring Conditions... don't "get in over your
head" and risk injury. Stay safe, and have fun in
terrain you can maintain complete control in.
Sample of todays Open Trails:
We think that this run, originally cut in 1948
remains one of the finest carving practice trails
of all time! Viva "Sissy Schuss"!

Life is Short, so is Winter, so get out to
Tremblant while you still can!
Spring Rule#3
Every Spring Ski day is to be cherished and is worth
the effort. It's a long time 'till next November.
