3/28/10 Conditions

Open Trail Count Stable at 51.
Partially sunny skies forecasted, with a daytime high
temp of +5C. Currently overcast and -4C, so you can
expect to see quite a change in surfaces today as the
Mountain is subjected to warm air masses flowing
over from the South. Wind velocity may be a factor
in todays scene as it could be gusty with the movement
of the large weather system now effecting the East Coast.
Best option for today is "Layers" with the outer one being
windproof.
The Tremblant, Telus "Spin" event continues today with
tons of action at the south side base. We've provided a
link directly to the SPIN website in the links section of
this post, below.
This is the 8th anniversary of the Telus Spin, spring
ski/board celebration. Set up at the South Side base,
Spin includes a variety of Competitions, Concerts and
the Hip Slope Side Lifestyle! With all the usual "Spring" caveats, the Skiing
and Boarding are really quite good.
There are actually large portions of the Mountain that
have sort of a "Mid-Winter" feel in terms of surfaces.
Of course you have to be very careful with speed as you
explore initially because there are icy patches,
sometimes when you don't expect them, but hey!,
...it's Spring! ...Work with it and have fun anyway!
Nansen Pitch has great surfaces!
