Trail # 62 Saute-Moutons, North Side.

Post by T360 »

Riding up the Duncan Quad Chair, just above the half-way mark,
we pass over the lower portion of Saute-Mutons which ends where
it intersects Duncan. This lower part is shrouded by trees and is
below the summit by enough that it does not get the peak wind
velocities. This sheltered location can sometimes hold some of
the best powder snow deposits after a blizzard.

These pic's are not intentionally black and white. On a snowy
day with grey light conditions, Mother Nature can turn this part
of her world into literally "Black and White". Riding up the Duncan
in these conditions is almost a surreal, serene experience.
