Trail # 57 Devil's River, North Side

Devil's River originates aprox 300 meters from
the North Side Summit, directly under the Duncan
Quad Chair. Its entrance is on the right hand side of
the # 62, Saute-Mutons Haut "between the trees" sector
as you can see in the shot below.

Devils River was the subject of some discussion in the winter of
2010-2011 due to the grooming strategy used. Stationary snow guns
along it's path are left on for extended periods of time and in a fixed
direction to form large deposits of blow snow, known by some as "bumps".
Frequently, natural snowfall is left ungroomed for long periods of time.
Basically, from that point on it has a following in two groups of fans.
1) those that like it groomed, 2) those that like it ungroomed.
We'll show picks of both here, but you'll have to decide for yourself
on preferences.
