La Crete originates at the Summit "Traffic Signal"
or trail light board and proceeds North Westerly
toward the top of #8 Beauvallon, #7 Alpine, #3 Nansen,
on the South Side and the alternate entrance to #72 P'tit Bonheur,
on the North Side. This North Side exit is not depicted
on the trail map, but is very easy if needed, at the
immediate 180' of the #7 Alpine entrance.
Left hand exits off of La Crete in its first 100 meters access
South Side #12 (Renamed Erik Guay)Grand Prix , #14 Zig-Zag,
#13 Vertige, #15 Gaetan Boucher, #17 Dunzee.
Technically Speaking, La Crete runs all the way Nor-West to
the intersection of Trail #1, Bon Vivant(as it comes around
from the Versant Nord, “Edge” Sector Peak), but 99% of
people tend to think of it ending at the top entrance of Nansen
which is perceived to be also at the top of #7 “Alpine”(further
detail on that below).
It is a connecter run.
La Crete starts out at the "traffic signal" and proceeds
down and just heading off to the right of center screen
here. It follows the contour of the slope crossing from left to right
under the far, Flag-Flying, Summit observation deck in this shot.
Sorry for the dark sky in this one, on the bright side,
it started snowing a Blizzard soon after!
This shot shows #2 La Crete quite well and you can see
the various Trail signs posted along its length to indicate
individual trails as well as "South" and "North" side
designations.
Below: A sunnier version facing down La Crete to the top of Beauvallon/Alpine
which follows the natural traffic path to the right of this frame.
What you are also looking at here is the Summit Peak where the observation
deck is located. If you go left where you can see the trail markers, you leave
La Crete to proceed along the Summit ridge to either Dunzee/McCulloch,
Vertige, Zig-Zag or Erik Guay.

As mentioned above, technically, La Crete runs in almost a straight line
out of the centre of this pic. below, however, most people perceive it
ending at the Beauvallon/Alpine, screen left, what they think of as Nansen’s
entrance, centre(all south side), and the "side door" entrance to P'tit Bonhuer
(north side), right screen.

Pic of last above trail sign, but from the top of P'tit Bonhuer looking
over the entrance to Nansen.
Scrolling back up and looking at the Official Trail Map schematic, if you stood
almost exactly where the Green circled, number “2” is, and looked back up towards
the Summit, over the trail you just skied down, you would see this view below,
looking back up over La Crete.
A Point Of Tremblant Mountain Orientation:
Looking closely at the top portion of this descent, shown above as it rises
up on the right side of the screen, you can see the top section of the big
Telecommunications Tower, located at the Summit, between the top
unloading zones of the “Soleil” and “Duncan” Quad Chairlifts. A line drawn
from this point back up to the Summit, roughly indicates the crest of a ridge
and everything on your Left, as you look back up, is on Versant Nord, the
North Side, and everything on your Right, as you look back up is on
Versant Sud, the South Side.
So if you follow La Crete to its terminal end you are at the intersection
of Tail # 1, Bon Vivant, where it comes in from the lateral traverse originating
at the Edge Sector peak, where it meets here at the top of Nansen Haut/Upper,
also known locally as Nansen “S”. This is one of the most picturesque places on
the Mountain and we frequently use this POV as a “Postcard” location.
The long view here on a sunny winter day is spectacular.
