Wonderful White Winter!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This is the first weekend in about
7 and a half months that you can wake up and say to yourself
"I'm going skiing at Tremblant."
What more needs to be said? ...in our opinion, there's not much
else. Fresh air, fresh snow, exercise, friends, the thrill of well
made carves and did we say fresh snow? Oh yeah, it's been snowing
here all night. Not sure exactly how it's been spread around, but
we'll find out shortly!
If this post told you nothing more, it would still be enough, but lets
review the stat's anyway....
About 7 cm, or 3 inches of fresh snow and 5 cm more expected this
a.m. before the sun breaks through and we have a glorious afternoon.
Tremblant Summit Proof of Snow! We'll take that, thank you very much Mother Nature!
The Official Tremblant Snow report shows 5 runs open, but essentially
you've got 2 ways down. On the North side, P'tit Bonheur to the Lowell
Thomas Triple Chair, and on the South Side, Nansen down to the TGV
detachable quad chair. We could ski P'tit Bonheur all day, it's that good,
so having upper Nansen tossed in for the first weekend of the season is
a wonderful bonus.
Of course it would be great to have more, but all things considered, with
the short time Mountain crews have had to work with temps low enough to
make snow, they've done an exceptional job, AS USUAL!
Here is todays copy of the Official Tremblant Trail and Grooming status
report, courtesy of http://www.tremblant.ca. This excellent document is a
downloadable pdf file. Get out there and show your Tremblant Style! Tremblant Skiers and Boarders have much to be thankful for to the
dedicated professionals of the Tremblant Mountain crews that work
all night so that we can have these beautiful surfaces to practice on.
It's the beginning of the season and you owe it to yourself to get out
and work on your skills, technique and endurance.
Will post Apres Ski updates A.S.A.P. and hopefully, twitter during
the day.... so stay tuned...
