It was an excellent day....
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tremblant is in great shape
and will be improving every day.
It's that simple... remember this?...
Sample of today's early morning conditions: The Official Open Trail count is at 7 this morning, so we continue to have
4 major ways to get down.
1) North- P'tit Bonheur to Lowell Thomas Triple Chair via La Crete, from
the summit, and on the bottom, the run-out plateau of Beauchemin where
it comes into the Lowell Thomas loading zone. Conditions over here are going
to be exceptional today. The center could become a bit slick with use, but we
predict that the edges of P'tit Bonheur will be excellent all weekend long.
2) South- 3 major ways to get down... Nansen Upper to Mi-Chemin,
Upper Beauvallon and Upper Alpine, all ending up at the TGV High Speed
Detachable Quad Chair.
The weather... Perfect.
Sunny, easy, just below freezing, starting out at -7C, rising to -2C at base
level, so the summit will be about 4 or 5C cooler. Light North-West winds
predicted, so they will be coming up the Mountain from the Beauvallon-Nansen
sectors.
Bring your camera!
The rest is up to you, time to get organized and head for the Mountain.
With a return to a very stable winter weather pattern for the foreseeable
future, Tremblant's surfaces will do nothing but get better and better.
This stability will also allow Mountain Crews to seriously build quality terrain
for the upcoming 24hr marathon Children's Charity Fundraiser.
This means we will have top to bottom skiing and boarding within the next week
on at least the South Side and if things went very very well, the North Side too.
Depending on how much natural snow we get, the process of adding additional
open terrain will vary, but the forecast still seems quite favourable.
Here is todays Official Trail and Grooming status.
