1/10/11 Conditions

We got a bit of Snow...

55(*) Open trails, so down 3 from yesterday, but no problem because
we're attributing that to maintenance from weekend traffic.

There are only 2 progressive or gradual openings today,
Devils River(North) and Grand Prix(South). You can look
for the Ski Patrol to be taking the ropes down and hopefully
opening them up later on. More on that below, but first...

For Best Results...
GET A TUNEUP.
Fresh, sharp edges are a critical element to a great day
in our current conditions.

We totally support the title message of todays http://www.Tremblant.ca

These guys were arguably some of the best Ski/Board
tuners in the region to begin with, so if they've got new equipment,
that makes 'em even better!

Lets Talk About The Weather...
If nothing else, the forecast predicts stable temps for the
next 2 weeks, which means that if ongoing snowmaking
can continue, Mountain Crews will be able to cover a
fair amount of acreage as time goes by. There is some
snow in this forecast, Lord knows we could use more,
but we can only take that as it comes...
waiting....
waiting....
Please Mother Nature, how 'bout some snow?
Back to reality... this near term stability figures well
for those planning within the next short while. We should
be easily able to keep what we have and maybe even
some expansion.

What we need to keep in mind is that the whole East Coast
is experiencing similar weather factors, so we're not alone.
