January gets a hard rap because it can have some cold days,
but there isn't anyone with Canadian winter experience that
hasn't heard about a "January Thaw" either. As long as you've
got layers, January is a fantastic month that sees Mountain
coverages expand and mature into the fullness of winter.

January typically offers very dry cold snow with high
grip and traction quality. The deep blue sky of crisp
winter days is ideal for great pictures.

As the month progresses, both Mother Nature and the Tremblant
Mountain crews fill in the runs with snow, so as we get into the
well established winter weather patterns, the open run count
climbs steadily. This pic of lower Banzai on the North side is
a great indicator of mature winter coverage as it relies purely
on natural snow to open.
