Thanks for your patience. Basically, if you can play Hooky, go to
Tremblant as soon as you can...)
Wonderful White Winter Week...
We've Got Snow... just enough to put a fresh coat of
icing on your Tremblant cake and it's forecast to bring more
all week!
Estimates vary between 1 to 10CM for today alone, so we'll just have
to wait and see what actually comes, but any new snow is always welcome,
so bring it on Mother Nature!
88(*) Open Trails on all 4 sides of Tremblant.
Gondola View Very mild temps up to -1C, but fortunately under overcast skies.
Why fortunate to be overcast?
When it's this close to thaw, if it was sunny it would begin
to melt the surface from solar energy, so we're glad that at
-1C we have the cloud to protect the fine surfaces we have now
from heat exposure.
We love to see this when the summit's trees start to load up with
snow. You know all the runs are getting it too.
Temps are forecasted to remain at -5C at the Summit, perfect
for keeping conditions stable.
Short line at Gondola. It's going to be much like a private club
today. This brief morning line will probably go to zero shortly
as everyone uploads to the summit.
Very light traffic on the North Side and on top of that,
fabulous conditions almost all to yourself.
The Skiing and Boarding should to continue to get better every day.
We think that Mountain Crews will be focusing on refinements of the
existing terrain which has a great base to start with. In addition, this
weeks Weather Network shows the possibility of a steady, incremental
snowfall, great news for both everyone here now, as well as those
planning to visit within the near future.
