Big, Fully Opened News!

95(*) out of 95 Trails shown OPEN!
(Algonquin is shown as a "Progressive", gradual opening,
so we'll just have to keep our fingers crossed on that one,
but in mean-time, go do Lower Ryan!)

Does this tell you anything about
the conditions at Tremblant?

L’Éden du skieur !
par excellence

It's not Rocket Science folks...

Tremblant is in magnificent condition with
a full range of terrain for all skill levels.

The only thing left to do is put yourself
in the picture too...

-------------- end of conditions pic's essay ---------------

The weather today should rise from morning's -16C
to around -10C and it's calling for partially sunny skies,
however at this stage, the summit is flying in the clouds
so we'll just have to wait and see how it works out.

For the past 4 days or so the forecast has sort of promised
warmer potential than it has actually delivered. The winds have
been the main culprit, as there has definitely been thermal
energy in the sun, but you almost need to be in a sheltered spot
to feel it.

The bonus is that it has kept the snow "Squeaky" dry and cold
which we love because that is when it has it's best edge set
and carving properties.

We hope the pic's above convey the
beauty of not only the Alpine conditions here, but the
absolutely awesome panorama's and beautiful shapes of
Mother Natures Tremblant winter.

There is one progressive, gradual opening,
Algonquin, so go there and see if it's cleared.

Apres Ski...

New Soleil Trail Algonquin News
Algonquin finally open for first time today.
Top 3/4 very nice with half width groomed.
The base was decent, however there were
some challenging zones with mixed, unpacked
surfaces. The bottom had some rock hazards
in the form of loose chunks that you needed to
navigate carefully around at slow speeds.

Lots of snow this past week has decorated the trees
with a most beautiful white winter coat that you can
never get tired of admiring.

The groomed carving surfaces are of the very highest quality
possible. There are some slick or icy patches in a few high wear
areas, but these are fairly easily avoided with appropriate speed
and caution, so please take care while initially exploring.
If you are visiting for the weekend, please be mindful
of Mountain traffic.

Fine Surface quality is a joy to carve on at Tremblant.

The edge set properties of the cold snowfall of the past week
is fabulous and worth every effort to get out and enjoy.
