Another day of spectacular scenery and improving conditions
still requires common sense care and control.

77(*) Open Trails on the extremely sunny and "crisp" Tremblant!
No Doubt About Winter @ -24C!
Based on that alone, we're recommending a long breakfast
while the sun has a chance to warm things up a bit, that is
of course, unless you're really hardy and all signed up for
"First Tracks" at 7:45 this morning.
In that case, you better bundle up, 'cause yer gunna need alot'o layers!
Other than that, if you're going to be out later, the temps are
forecasted to rise to -7C which we totally believe because there's
a lot of energy in the rays today. The only spoiler might be a
wind factor, but only time will tell on that. Difficult as it might seem,
you want to be prepared for both. Jacket Zipper Vents could be the answer.
Riding the Gondola up to the wild, blue yonder...
The "silver lining" of the cold is that it continues to keep the frost well
into the Mountain which will ultimately help extend the durability and
quality of the season.
Before we go any further, we would like to point out that within all
the rated skill level runs, Green, Blue, Black, there's lots of good
skiing and boarding on groomed surfaces that will hold an edge,
but only a sharp one, so if you have those sharp edges, you can...
carve this... We are rating the edge hold capability shown here for moderate
speeds. The depth is not sufficient for high speed carving yet, but
because the base is so hard, speed will build very quickly, consequently,
you need to restrict your speed to be able to hold that edge.
Speed, Control and Conditions Caveat
For All Skill Levels In Effect.
Watch and maintain absolute control of your speed.
Even though there has been tremendous progress with
surface quality for all rated skill levels, there may be
icy glitches that may not be initially visible.
Typically, these areas will be in some high traffic zones
around trail intersections or run-outs to lift zones, like
at the base of Soleil, for example, or on the down-side
of crest contours or steeper pitches.
You need to explore the Mountain with care and control until
you have verified safe passage for your skill level.
Traffic Notes:
President's Week Holiday attendance means increased awareness of
those around you to ensure adequate space for maneuvering. Watch
out for those who are new to the area and may not be familiar with
things and could make sudden directional changes into your path.

For safety's sake...
Apres Ski "under construction", so more on the way, but...
if you live regionally, you should also be on the way...
