Flying mile Open 'till 4:30 !!! ----------------------------------------------------------------------
(March? ...already? Where did February go?
It seemed so quick... but here we are anyway...)
94(*) Open trails on the 26CM snowy 4 sides of Tremblant!
MARCH ... as they say...
"In Like a Lion", with...
26CM(**) of fresh snow!
This is why we'll have great skiing today...
When the good stuff falls on Tremblant, we get excited!
Expo Powder line with 26 Cm of falling snow shown from
our last blizzard... (**)Please Note: Due to yesterdays North and North-West winds,
there will be a "blowing and drifting" factor that may cause
fallen snow to be deposited unevenly in areas that have wind
exposure. Snowfall events that have winds with them tend to
benefit the "Lee" or sheltered side of the Mountain as well as the
narrower trails that have high trees that act as scoops or protection,
regardless of which side they are on.
Wide trails that face the winds and have wind moving over their
surfaces tend to retain less snow, however significant drifting can
still occur near topographical contour features.
The recorded snowfall is often the subject of debate, however, it is
our understanding that the statistics are generated by Environment
Canada and/or with procedures and guidelines of Meteorological
practice. If you are out with a tape measure you will find that there are
areas of less and more accumulation, depending on how the wind has
affected the area you are measuring.
Today is actually forecast to be sunny and here's a Web Cam
Snap Shot of Summit snow in the trees as the sun is just making
its brightness show now @ 6:25 A.M.
The Skiing and Boarding are going to be very predictably excellent!
Please Note: there may be ungroomed, tracked up portions that
may be difficult for beginners or intermediates that find themselves
off the groomers. Slow down, then use a snowplow turn technique
to get yourself back to packed.

shown, #'s 24 & 52, which would make the number 93/95)
As usual, when there's this much fresh snow, we recommend that you head for Tremblant as soon as you can!
Oh, and by the way...
Look at this folks! ... If you are not already here...
Plan for Tremblant this weekend,
and do it now!
