Fall 2012 Update:

Our Gmail address has been swamped with
thousands of spam registrations for the forums
so we do not have a practical way of identifying
legitimate applicants.

At this stage, it looks like primarily discount pharma spammers from
around the world, and they've created ways of flooding forums
in order to get their messages out using random, seemingly
normal looking, name generators.

For the time being, if you could "Personal Message" us on Facebook or Twitter
we'll get the user name you want directly from you before you use
the forum registration application so we know to approve you when
trying to sort through the dozens of daily entries we're getting.
