Late Night Apres Ski below in "Reply"
-------------- 7: 37 A.M. Orig. Post ----------------------------
8(*) Open Trails on the Official List today...
Very nice to see Alpine Haut, Upper on the list
this morning, even though it is restricted to
"Race" status. Any addition to terrain is good
and when a run is prepared for "Race" use, you
know that when we eventually get to use it, it will
probably be in excellent shape because Coaches
and Race event co-ordinators are fussy about having
high quality surfaces for their activities.
If we are lucky, Alpine may remain on the open list
for public accessibility after the event, maybe later today
or tomorrow, only time will tell.
Another advance in terrain development this morning
is the creation of the Upper Beauchemin track from the
Summit to Beauchemin's first descent pitch, which is also
the alternate path to P'tit Bonheur.
Let's take a look....
(Anyone that's a previous reader here knows we love the
Tremblant.ca Web Cams. They provide tons of info to the
Tremblant curious, new and old, about conditions on the
Mountain. We highlight them frequently here, so whether
it's today or tomorrow for people thinking of an immediate
Ski/Board visit, or, if anyone comes back here in a 100 years
to see what things were like, they'll find this little record.)

The Big Picture... Analysis of the Web Cam views using the Zoom feature is a very
valuable tool for many aspects of planning a Tremblant visit
and we thank Tremblant.ca for keeping them up.
Detail.... Zoom X 2 More Detail... Zoom X 3 In this Pic. immediately above, we talk about the depth of the
snow on this newly created path and we think this is a hugely
important factor to discuss because it represents one of the most
significant components of the Early Season Tremblant experience...
Surface Quality.
Years and years ago, we all owned "rock skis" for early season.
Snowmaking was elementary and in small areas, and the small
amounts of natural snow meant that there were natural hazards
that were inevitably encountered so if you had an old pair of skis
you automatically used them at the beginning of the season to
save your good equipment from damage.
Not so anymore. The exceptional surface quality that we are used
to at Tremblant starts out on day one and goes straight through
the whole season with remarkable consistency. As far as we are
concerned, this is one of the best advancements we've seen here
over time. For sure, there's not as much open in late November,
early December, but what is open has very high quality surfaces
from first run on.
A little later on, shortly after the Mountain opens up, we can get an
even better view, highlighted by more light/sun. 8(*) Open Trails on the Official, downloadable

Please Note "flag" Race status icon in open
column beside Alpine. We look forward to gradual increases in Open
Terrain as Mountain Crews get a break in the
weather with a return to lower overnight temps
for the upcoming week.
How 'bout some fresh Snow Mother Nature?

want to research days/weeks/months to visit, you can sample what
they look like historically, month by month, year by year.

When reviewing dates from any past, numbered, archived index pages,
you can use the "Previous Topic" or "Next Topic" buttons, located
screen far right, in upper date/message bar to scroll through sequential
dates, or use your browsers "back" button to stay on the selected index
page for non-sequential date reviews in either forward or reverse order.
There are approximately 6, 25 day Index pages per season.

First index page with the latest posts. That gives you an immediate,
current to 25 day past, review scroll of Winter Alpine Conditions by
