A Small Pic, but Big Tremblant News...
-------------- 7:23 A.M. Orig. Post-----------------------
16(*) Open Trails, South to Base,
North to Lowell Thomas Triple Chair.
Things Start Out A Bit "Soupy" Today... Ski/Board Alpine Snow Surface Conditions
at Tremblant will remain at very high quality... ...because everyone on the Tremblant Team
works together to keep it that way.
Todays weather will be a somewhat foggy
repeat of yesterday with temps slightly
warmer, but forecast to stay just below freezing.
Moderate Winds from the South-East, will cross
the Summit from the Duncan Sector and move toward
Nansen. We don't see any thermal harm to the snow
surfaces today, but there is a plus temp factor in
tomorrows forecast that may expose the Base levels
to above freezing by a couple degrees C for approximately
18 hours between 8 am and 2 am, Thursday to Friday.
It's way too early to say if that will effect anything and
at these near freezing base levels, the cooler Summit
could actually remain sub-zero throughout. It appears
as though SnowMaking is off-line for the moment.
In reply to a question about the "warm" forecast asked
on Tremblant.ca's Facebook page this morning, we posted
the following:
"The Mountain Summit Temp Values will typically be between
3 to 5 Deg. C colder than St. Jovite due to over 2000 vertical
feet of elevation. At the just above freezing forecasted for
St. Jovite, it is possible then that the Summit Based Open
Terrain will not be effected at all, but no matter what...
this thermal blip is projected to be 18 hours or so, very short
compared to the 5 days of warm last week that saw no
significant harm to the Summit Snow surfaces at all.
Therefore, we think there's a high probability for the
excellent early season conditions to continue, totally undisturbed."
On another note...
The Resort Village is all decorated up for Christmas
and looking quite pretty.... early sunset means the
warm, rich tones of lighting are present from Apres
Ski on.

Sunday Afternoon Pic.
A week ago we were thrilled to basically have
one excellent run, P'tit Bonheur.
This week, we've got a bunch more, and Thanks
to the 24Hour Charity Event, 8 inches or so
of Fresh Snow and Mountain Crews,
Top-To-Bottom South Side....
all in very fine shape.
There's lot's to be thankful for, so get out and
go Skiing/Boarding at Tremblant!
more later as time permits...
