The Holiday break is an ideal time for regional Alpine Teams
to get in a lot of concentrated training and Race events too.
If you want to see tomorrow's Champion's look around
Tremblant today!

The Weather, Let's Talk About The Weather!
...and the Skiing/Boarding too...

Finally!!! it's a wonderfully easy -13C Winter Day with
Snowy Overcast and a Moderate Nor-West wind that will
see some very nice Drifting going on just below the Summit
on the North. As the wind goes over the Summit from the
Beauvallon Sector towards Lowell Thomas and Duncan
we predict a "Swirl" and "Drift" factor that will create
some absolutely joyful conditions.

You will want to explore to find the best of it, but at this stage,
we don't think it will be possible to make a bad decision.

Everything that's open on all 4 sides
at Tremblant will be Excellent!

:) Bring Back The Memories... Research Future Visits...
If you would like to look up dates you visited Tremblant, or you
want to research days/weeks/months to visit, you can sample what
they look like historically, month by month, year by year.

GoTo: Archive, Search Reports by Date: Index: http://tinyurl.com/yktelmu

When reviewing dates from any of the past, numbered, archived pages,
you can use the "Previous Topic" or "Next Topic" buttons, located
screen far right, in upper date/message bar to scroll through sequential
dates, or use your browsers "back" button to stay on the selected index
page for non-sequential date reviews in either forward or reverse order.

There are approximately 6, 25 day Index pages per season.

( If You  "Bookmark" the link above, it will always take you to the
First index page with the latest posts. That gives you an immediate,
current to 25 day past, review scroll of Winter Alpine Conditions by
consecutive date.)

T360 Apres Ski....

Snow, Snow, Snow.... Falling, Making, Grooming...

...and Forecast!

Here's a look at the "Night Shift" working in the Lowell Thomas Triple
Chair Lift Summit Off-Loading Zone.

This Groomers Driver has a great "Touch" with his machine
and we can see how he's manipulating the "ears" and the big front,
main blade to create the sculpted ramp that we have to use to disembark
from the Chair lift when we get to the top.

What we like about this close-up is the pic on the left that shows the
ears and the main blade folded into a "W" shape to work in the small
confines of the space right beside the Lift Control Booth. The people
that use this equipment at Tremblant are artists that sculpt with
really big tools!

Moving on...

We Really Love These!

Look at those great spray patterns! These Snow Guns
are working hard and putting out a very well diffused
distribution of Snow. We find it very interesting to see
how quickly the Big Bumps can get blown. It's our
impression that a lot of this production efficiency is
due to ideal temperatures. At this rate, the overnight
differences will be remarkable, and significant.

Weather Wise...

Overnight lows...another "Chilly" one @-25C
Tomorrow's daytime high... -16C, so a couple degrees cooler than
today with overcast skies and SNOW ... maybe 10-15 CM...
But with a South or South-East wind of moderate speed...

... So, There could be a BIG DRIFTING event!
