Yup, you are correct.....Snowy, Very Snowy....

--------------------------------------------------------------------
Early evening Update @ 6:39 P.M.

Expect to have a significant Apres Ski by 10:00 P.M. or so, it might be 11...
gotta' rush into St.Jovite for some faucet seals, but until then,
if you're "Sitting On The Fence" in Montreal or Ottawa or
Smiths Falls... about coming to Tremblant tomorrow.... don't.
Just heave all your gear in the vehicle tonight and hit the road at 5:30 A.M.

That's an Order!

Whewww.... looks like we dodged a heat bullet...

Warmer than expected, but not warm enough to go above
freezing. Lucky us!

Last night in our Apres Ski we wrote about our
hopes that "Flurries" would become "A Bunch Of Snow"...
We Got Our Wish!

While high temperature records are being broken in other
East Coast areas, we get to be the centre of winter!

From "Mild" to "Wild" if you were wherever it was +12 C
yesterday and you're arriving at Tremblant Today, you'll
see a 32 Degree Celsius spread in temps by tonight. Wow.
For all our American cousins, that's a 90 degree F spread. Wow.

With that kind of drop after that kind of peak, we could see
some slick or icy bits. Maybe, maybe not. A lot will depend
on the snow we've gotten, and more "flurries" we may get
as well as Mountain Traffic, grooming and Snowmaking.
We're hoping for the best and the fact that the temp peak
has been at night with no sun.

All the added snowfall on all 4 sides of the Mountain, with an
anticipated slow drop in temps throughout the day, will be
factors that favour the complete undisturbed, even improved,
condition of our fine surfaces.

:) Bring Back The Memories... Research Future Visits...
If you would like to look up dates you visited Tremblant, or you
want to research days/weeks/months to visit, you can sample what
they look like historically, month by month, year by year.

GoTo: Archive, Search Reports by Date: Index: http://tinyurl.com/yktelmu

When reviewing dates from any of the past, numbered, archived pages,
you can use the "Previous Topic" or "Next Topic" buttons, located
screen far right, in upper date/message bar to scroll through sequential
dates, or use your browsers "back" button to stay on the selected index
page for non-sequential date reviews in either forward or reverse order.

There are approximately 6, 25 day Index pages per season.

( If You  "Bookmark" the link above, it will always take you to the
First index page with the latest posts. That gives you an immediate,
current to 25 day past, review scroll of Winter Alpine Conditions by
consecutive date.)

If you can go to Tremblant, don't waste
any more time thinking about it....

Go, Go Now, and Go As Often As You can...

Earlier we promised you a "Significant" Apres Ski and these
pic's certainly fulfill that obligation, what ever more significant
views or pictures can you visualize than a super snowy Tremblant.

The skiing and boarding are more satin smooth, and while Mountain Crews
have been blending in all the almost daily fresh new snow, there's so much
of it that it's not yet compressed to it's maximum or optimum possible
density, so there are all these neat little "Lifters" that are basically
malleable contours in the fresh snow that have not yet been worked into
a hard-pack base.

What's important about the pic. here below is that it's taken within about
10 meters of the South Side Resort Base and as you can see the corduroy
is virtually perfect, perfect shape and perfect glide and "Dryness".
We were afraid that the close call with "Warm" that we almost had last night
would or could have effected the snow or the surface, but that
never happened. It's perfect.

You get to ski that tomorrow morning... We think that's significant!

O.K., So things are a little foggy at the summit, but with this one
at least you can see why... Snowmaking!
