4 White Winter Sides of Tremblant!
Hey Ottawa, Hey Toronto, Bonjour Montreal,
Hello Boston and New York!
You Got Rain Or Warm???....
We Got Snow!
Here's one of our whacky, composite Web Cam Panoramas date stamped
and presented this morning as...
Tremblant "Proof Of Snow"!
(see our Web Cam utility case study below) Near Future Tremblant Trip Planners:
Fear Not!
Despite the "warm" you may have at "Yourtown"...
Winter Lives At Tremblant!
Yesterday(and today as well), At Tremblant..... Using The Tremblant Web Cams To
Understand Daily Conditions...
Case Study, Summit:
When It Looks Like This On The Summit Web Cam.... It looks like this standing in front....
Pic. from earlier this week. Here are the notes... Here is the Big Picture... Experienced Tremblant Mountain Users can
tell lot's about their day at Tremblant before
they head off in the morning by looking at the
Web Cams first thing.
The Ski And Board conditions are superb by any Eastern standards
and we think that goes all the way up to Global comparisons
because while it's not the above tree-line high Alpine, it is the
unique and intimate world of Tremblant that is one of the finest
technical Alpine environments anywhere.
Seasonal accumulations far exceeding the two previous winters
have blessed us with a base of outstanding depth and quality.
Meticulous Grooming has rendered surfaces that are butter smooth
and virtually wall to wall on all the daily maintained trails.
Today's Weather...
We're still floating around the freezing mark, a degree above
at the South Resort Base and a couple or more below, at the Summit
where the higher elevation keeps things cooler.
This is part of the transitions story we're working on. The forecast
for the next 5 days is for below zero, but not by much, so depending on
how it goes we could see some variable conditions.
None of that will affect the excellent Skiing/Boarding though, there's simply
too much snow for anything to change much in the near future. An
added insurance is the well below zero overnights solidly forecast for the
near term.
Winds are moderate from the Nor-West so coming up the Mountain
from the Nansen side, moving towards Duncan. At these temps, obviously
not any kind of problem at all.
Next 4 Days... Sunny with day-time temps @ -5 or so... more easy winter.
95(*) Open Trails on the Official, Downloadable,
PDF, Trail and Grooming status report,
Courtesy of Tremblant.ca Page under evolutionary construction, thanks for your visit
now and anytime in future, more as time permits...
We promised a "Transitions" post in last nights Apres Ski
and we're hoping to have that ready for tonight. It's all
about where we're at in the season as the days get longer...
