SNOWFALL WEATHER WARNING FOR TREMBLANT REGION !
Sweet news for Skiers and Boarders!
We Love this "Bad" weather!
Please Mother Nature, Bring on the Snow!!!
For all your "Weather Junkies" out there, here is the Environment Canada RADAR TRACKING for Tremblant.
http://www.weatheroffice.gc.ca/radar/in ... tml?id=WMN
Clicking on this link will take you to a radar screen where you will find a series of Blue Buttons across the top of the Radar Image.
If you click on the Blue Button with the Arrow, top left, you will set into motion 7 screens that show 10 minute advancing time slots for the past hour.
You can actually watch the weather taking shape and see approaching systems as they will affect Tremblant.
On the RIGHT hand side of the radar screen is the colour code that tells you the amount of snow in the system. PLease Note that the the different colours shown at any given time, represent the variable density that will naturally occur within any weather system.
So far this morning, we do not show much activity, but according to the forecast this will change through the day and you will be able to see that happening by using the above link.
Today, we have an open trail count at 92, all lifts "Go" and lots of groomed terrain, so it is going to be another great day at Tremblant. Surface conditions are responding well to use, grooming and sun to produce the best possible "grip" level with the base we have. There are going to be slick areas in some high travel zones, so you will need to watch your speed, but mid-week as we are, there is fairly light traffic, so you will be able to cover a lot of ground on a day like today.
Today is a great day to explore Tremblant just because you can cover a lot of ground, and you will be surprised to find that there may be great conditions in areas that you might not think about, so get ready to rip and have fun looking for all the Hidden Treasures!
Temps this A.M. are going to rise fairly rapidly from -11C to -2C and the NEW SNOW is expected to start falling just after lunch.
Overnight, we could see as much as 10 CM, or about 4 inches of snow, if the forecast comes true, and of course, that could be shaped by "Blowing or Drifting" factors, so we could end up with some powder accumulations, particularly in the narrower runs.
