Headlined by Radio-Radio, DJ'd after that until the wee

Descending back to the South Base, the finishing touches are well in

The 24 Hour Charity walk wound up at Place des Voyageurs at 4:00 p.m.
Big Crowd out for that!

T360 "Sort Of" Apres Ski Introduction???? @ 8:30 P.M. 24 Hour News Above,
Ski/Board Conditions Below...

"Sort Of", because the day is not yet over. Tonight's the
night the Summit, Grand Manitou Lodge, Rocks out to celebrate
the huge effort put on by both Organizers and Participants.
It's our privilege, as it has been for some years, to cover that
and to perhaps try to capture some of the undeniable sprit
and enthusiasm for this massive community charity sharing.

But, before we get to that, how was the skiing???

"Unusually" Good!

We saw this "unusual" "training" demonstration by just a handful
of "backward" thinking Race Kids, who were having too much fun
playing on the Newly Opened Beauchemin Bas, Lower.

Bad as it is(tell your brain it's "Special Effects"), we still like the
way it shows the nice Shred Depth you can find on Beauchemin Bas...
on day 1 !!!

...and "Fast" too... Despite the almost Zero C temps, it never
lost its Snow" characteristics and speed was easy, easy to build
up quickly. This, by the way, is real "Race" training.

More on the way...

Snow Report.

We're doing a way-early post as we have a large
amount of 24 Hour Children's Charity field work
first thing in the morning. Today's content here
may be summed up as...

Go Skiing or Boarding as soon as you can and as often as
you can to take advantage of record amounts and quality
of Season's Opening terrain!

Here is one main reason....

There's a lotta Snow on the slopes of Tremblant!
...and not just blown either, there's lot's of Natural in the base.

Main Reason # 2... North Open...
Top-To-Bottom, Full Mountain Vertical!!!

Via Beauchemin to Duncan Quad... One of our favourite days of the season!

Main reason # 3...
As Far As the 24 Hour event is concerned..
.

Someone's going to ask... Why the reduced Trail Count this A.M.?

We think the answer's in restoration, and further, we think it'll
jump right back up there for Saturday. We'll just have to wait and see,
but we think there's a lot of work going on behind the scene's
to get ready for the weekend, to have things as close to perfect
as possible...

More later.... Just pack up and go Skiing or Boarding
at Tremblant if you can....

P.S. For more clues about "tomorrow" go back and look
at yesterdays PDF Chart, Snowmaking tick column.

:) Bring Back The Memories... Research Future Visits...
If you would like to look up dates you visited Tremblant, or you
want to research days/weeks/months to visit, you can sample what
they look like historically, month by month, year by year.

GoTo: Archive, Search Reports by Date: Index: http://tinyurl.com/yktelmu

When reviewing dates from any of the past, numbered, archived pages,
you can use the "Previous Topic" or "Next Topic" buttons, located
screen far right, in upper date/message bar to scroll through sequential
dates, or use your browsers "back" button to stay on the selected index
page for non-sequential date reviews in either forward or reverse order.

There are approximately 6, 25 day Index pages per season.

( If you "Bookmark" the link above, it will always take you to the
First index page with the latest posts. That gives you an immediate,
current to 25 day past, review scroll of Winter Alpine Conditions by
consecutive date.)
