The sun tried to break through but never quite made it
so it was a grey day, but we love grey days just the same.
Exceptional Surface conditions and early morning was not
too crowded, but by 10:00 A.M., you could tell that people were
finally getting out and the numbers began to build.
Nothing unusual about that, Saturday, Holiday Weekend,
Abundant, Fabulous Natural Snow, Outstanding Alpine Slopes
at a Ski Resort, exactly the way it should be in order to support
the whole enterprise that provides us with such magnificent
Skiing/Boarding.
The Mountain needs good days like today.
Unfortunately there was a significant glitch with the Duncan Quad Chair
yesterday. It was unrelated to all the previous work done to Duncan,
so evidently the system continues to show occasional "Issues".
"Just For The Record" ... our Raison d'être is to chronicle the day to day
activity at Tremblant to provide a historically valid archive.
Unfortunately, not every day is perfect. Working with Nature and big
mechanical systems can cause all kind of problems un-foreseen and
other wise, so we need to be understanding and patient.
We are going to include a copy of the Tremblant Official Blog posting
on this incident with Duncan(attached below), but we want to say that
the copy is provided to be a component of the historically valid archive,
and does not reflect any position on our part. We support Tremblant
Mountain Operations who do the very best they can with the resources
they have.
There is no doubt that "Public Opinion" looks unfavourably on anything that
keeps them from Skiing or Boarding, so you can imagine there's a bit of
"heat" in the customer feedback which is understandable.

86(*) Open Trails on all 4 Kool, Crisp sides
of Snow White Tremblant!
Crazy early report today 'cause we got a minor
road trip to do... back before Apres Ski, Lord Willing....
Anyway, after yesterdays nirvanic conditions, today will
be an incredibly wonderful semi-repeat. We say semi because
it's supposed to be sunny in the morning, then some cloud
making it's way in after lunch. The cloud is forecasted to
also bring a wee bit more Snow!
That's how "Great" gets more "Great".
The Open Trail Count is down 4, so far, due to Expo upper and lower,
as well as Cossak and Dynamite being off-line with substantial
Snowmaking. We are guessing, but we think it's to really build up
some big bumps, then mill them flat by Winch Grooming and spreading
the new snow over all the naturally uneven terrain as a big push for
New Years Day and onward for Expo.
We could be wrong.
Conditions are excellent, the views are excellent, all you need to do is
put yourself in the picture....
Starts out at -17 C or so, and ends up at somewhere around -10 C
winds are to be light and from the Nor-East, so coming up P'tit Bonheur
and heading across the Summit towards Soleil.
It's very difficult to come up with words that come even close to
describing these conditions. All we can do is encourage you to test
them for yourself. We are totally confident you will agree, regardless
of your skill level, because the prep work of Tremblant Mountain Crews
extends to all the levels of the trail ratings i.e. Green's, Blues, etc.,

The incredible abundance of natural snow here for this time
of the season is a statistical anomaly.
To not take advantage of it, if you can, would be criminal.
What you need to do is get here. After that, figure out a way to stay
for as long as possible. It's that good... it's that excellent...
(If you really want to see more about how this season is
trending and why we have such excellent conditions,
use the "Previous Topic" button, upper screen right,
to go back through the daily reports. The season is still
very young and in review, you can follow it to this
present state of excellence.)
