T360 Apres Ski....
This is all you need to see,
because you can do this all over Tremblant....
More later, but just go whenever you can...

73(*) Open Trails on the very cool 4 sides of Tremblant!
Very Cool in more ways than one...
How cool is this... Completely surrounded with the almost surreal
beauty of Tremblant, not only do you get the unmitigated joy of
being wrapped up in these stunningly gorgeous vista's, but the real magic starts
when you begin to dance on the snowy perfection of these satin-smooth
surfaces for run after run after run after run....
The possibility exists that even though it's considerably cooler in
absolute temp. values, with a lot less, little or no wind, it could
actually be easier to be comfortable in than yesterday.
At this point it's -24 C, but so far it appears to be under a cloudless sky,
and with not so much as a breath of wind.... yet.
Hard to imagine that there could be zero wind today after yesterdays
roaring blast, but certainly a welcome relief if so.
Below: we don't know how this person did it, but no tuque or helmet
would have made for one very cool head in yesterday's wind...
nice outfit though, and looking great against the Winter White background...
300 MM hand held Telephoto from Summit looking down La Crete.
The daytime high could reach -11C and if it stayed this sunny, and
stayed this windless, that would make it a superbly easy winter afternoon...
If you added in what we would expect the excellence of surfaces to be today
it could make it one of the first truly "Back to Normal" feeling winter days since
the wild, wet, "Up and Down" of last week that caused so much disruption.
Above is another of the series we shot before the batteries crashed in
the cold. We are thrilled to have this image which as far as we're
concerned, is a definite "Post Card" calibre scene without any
discussion at all about how very fine the Snow surfaces obviously are.
As an extension of that point... "How Very Fine The Snow Surfaces
Obviously Are"... we offer this closer-up version, below, of "Carve This",
which was taken just a few metres up the run from the panoramic above.
We can not imagine a clearer way to illustrate the outstanding
performance characteristics of the Snow on the Open Alpine Trails
of Tremblant than this above....
The question is then... will we see you on these very fine slopes today?
Of course there are any number of legitimate reasons why you may not
be able to be here, so for those that can't, but are interested anyway,
here is what we hope is the best "Window" we can make for an
accurate picture.
If you are one of the very luckiest humans on the planet that can be here today
then you really should not be seeing this until Apres Ski, cause you'd be either
already out on "First Tracks" or on your way and not sitting in front of any
computer wasting time that could be spent on such beautiful slopes as those
we have at Tremblant right now.
As good as things are... caution is still wise in areas exposed to
windblown base exposure that can have slick or icy bits for example.
Steeper pitches, high traffic zones and Un-groomed natural terrain can all
have glitches that may change with daily weather and wear patterns.
Use your head for safe slow speed explorations to verify Prior to ripping around.

Go if you can...
...speaking of which...
Yesterday we noted the occurrence of a personal knee injury...
may actually have to have a physician take a peek at this one...
We'll try to crawl up the hill a few metres for a snap shot or two
but we may be off-line, so-to-speak, for a day or two...
