T360 Apres Ski Intro. and partial Draft of Tomorrows Content:
Regional Eastern North American's are bracing for a very
heavy winter snow storm that is slightly south of Tremblant.
Areas around Boston Mass. USA, may see as much as 90 CM's
or 3 feet of snow. Tremblant may see 9 or 10 CM's around 4 inches
however the forecasts could be out and we may get more.
Here is an Environment Canada Radar Projection for 8:00 A.M.
Showing the principle Snow activity passing along the St. Lawrence
River Valley.

The overwhelming feature of Tremblant Today.....
Snow Surface Quality.
While it is not a fancy Panoramic, or a super fast action shot....
the pic above tells the experienced Skier/Boarder everything they
need to know about the most important thing on the Mountain....
The Snow Quality. Tremblant Mountain Crews have successfully
restored a Pure Winter Snow Surface to the vast majority of the
opened groomed trail network. So much so, that from a practical
standpoint, guests who may be arriving from far away for their first
Tremblant visit this season would never know that the Weather Drama
of the recent past had disturbed so much as a single snow flake....
The combination of daily grooming with it's incremental increases
in refinement, plus some additional fresh snow, plus a nice, crisp
-29 C overnight, will have generated surfaces this morning that
in many cases could be the best of the season.
Traction, Grip, Lateral Edge hold, however you want to describe it,
the performance characteristics of these groomed surfaces are going
to be all of "Exceptional"!
We shot this "Action" series day before yesterday and these surfaces
were among the best on the Mountain at that time. In the time between
then and now this quality will have been extended to all the far corners
of the Mountain.
When we refer to "Patience" after weather drama, it's necessary to
remember that a Grooming Machine with its skilled operator can
cover about 4 acres, per hour. So by today, as we said above, pretty much
all the far corners of Tremblant's Groomed Terrain at somewhere over
500 acres will have been covered by multiple Grooming cycles that generate
the very fine surfaces pictured above.
Today's Weather....
Starts with last night as it blew the forecast away with a low of -29C
but that's good because it will have super-charged the Snow Surfaces
for today and when it really comes down to it, we don't care what it
does in the night while we're not skiing.
So then the day time high at -14 C or so, will be fairly easy to take
as the winds are light Westerly's and the sun is brilliant and full of
radient energy that you can capture in any safe, wind sheltered
trail side spot.
Considering it will be just like the pic's above, a very easy winter day.

Regional Tremblant Fans....
If you have any flexibility in your planning
and you can make it out during the week...
the conditions are sweet and the traffic is light.
These are great days for training, exercise, and
overall fitness.
