T360 Apres Ski, Late Night Edit.....
If you could have been at Tremblant today,
but you made another choice...
You need a better Psychiatrist than the one you got....
Tremblant360 "Proof Of Snow"
La Griffe At Fuddle Duddle Bas, Lower, Intersection.
These Loonie sized flakes were falling in Squall like patterns
over primarily Summit and Nord, North sectors at Tremblant.
To us, one of the most interesting things about the most recently
fallen snow is how light and dry it is, particularly considering
how close, but just below Zero it seems to have come in.
This pic. below shows reasonable detail and the evidence of
the very interlocked crystalline accumulation.
Bottom Line(s) on Tremblant Conditions....
Carve This.... and find out for yourself....

90(*) Open Trails on the White, Winter Slopes of Tremblant!
Big Big Jump in the open terrain this morning!
While much of the East Coast South of Tremblant is getting "warm",
with temp's above freezing, and/or rain....
Tremblant gets Winter! Tremblant gets Snow!
...and You get....
Merci Tremblant Mountain Crews!!!
Anywhere from about 4 to 12 Cm's of fresh snow with some
localized Mountain Sector drifting, has been accumulated in the
past 24 hours and it is still lightly snowing at Tremblant now.
There was a degree of thickness in the top layers of Snow due to humidity
and depth, but what a "Happy Problem" that is when many Alpine
Snow Sport Areas to the South are being exposed to "Warm".
Below:
It may be a bit fuzzy...
The focus is not quite right....
Taken while moving quickly through tracked Fresh Snow...
but still tells the story quite well...
Beauchemin, Bas, Lower, after lunch. Natural Snowfall.
If you are a regional Ski/Board Fan trying to decide if and where to go,
we hope the pic's included in this small window to Tremblant's great
conditions motivate you to head out immediately. If you can't leave this
second, then plan to escape over the next few days to take advantage
of "Winter" that's very much alive and well at Tremblant!
Heading up to the Summit yesterday was a snowy grey experience...
emphasis on "Snowy"!
Looks like same today... so far.
Once at the Summit, one of the most interesting long views was this North
Side panorama with the sun illuminating the distant hills as we look under the
low cloud. The wind here was very light and at your back compared to
having to face into it on the South, so this side got top comfort marks.
The surfaces here are seamless, smooth snow that responds very well
to all control inputs. There was the odd icy glitch in other places on the
Mountain in the usual patterns, but with decent edges they were of no
concern at all as long as you explored with the appropriate care on first
trail encounters.
Today's Weather: starts out at -9C, moving slowly up during the morning
under overcast sky's with the possibility of partial clearing at or around noon.
The daytime high might reach -1C and if it clears off at all there will be
solar energy for Trail side breaks.
Wind should remain light to moderate and from the South so moving
across the Summit from Soleil towards La Crete/Nansen/P'tit Bonheur.
A super easy, mild winter day...
Mountain Utility Note: It's still all snow, and it's still all winter, but at these
just below the freezing mark temps, there is more humidity in the surfaces
which can add some forward resistance. This will be perceived by most as
less glide. To restore "Glide", Ski/Board bases can be waxed or coated with
"Warm" temp range Ski/Board Wax materials from Swix or Toko, for examples.
You can get these supplies at any good Ski/Board shop and do it yourself,
or you can take your gear to the Pro's at Le Ski Shop, located right at the
lower base of the Cabriolet and let them do it for you.
Restoring Glide capability as we work our way to longer warmer days
will enhance both speed and control, so we recommend you consider
this very basic utility to get the most out of your time at Tremblant.

While East Coast Weather Drama Thaws "South"...
Up Here at "North", Tremblant Keeps "Winter"!
When conditions are so significantly effected by the tipping point
of Zero C, 32 Degrees F, it does not take much on either side
to make HUGE differences in surface quality...
Tremblant Wins!
Just Below Freezing Temps,
Way Above Excellent Snow!
