Fun With Web Cams....
Anyone who hangs around at the Summit after "Last Run"
knows the Ski Patrol will politely ask you to proceed
on your descent so they can conduct their safety sweep
of all the terrain as the Mountain is closing for the day...
If we can get to the computer soon enough Apres Ski, we like
to see how the weather is developing. We find this particularly
interesting when it's active like today... Within the couple of hours after the last guests have departed from the
Summit, Mountain Crews are busy with the logistical support chores
required to keep the Grand Manitou stocked and to take out the re-cycle.
The BR350 Packer/Groomer machines do more than work with surface
conditions. They supply all the muscle necessary to haul supplies/materials
both directions....
One of the most important details in these Summit Pic's is the abundant
Snow still in the trees up here signifying stable 24hr-a-day Sub-zero temps
and Winter Surface conditions.
Skiing and Boarding .... Excellent. Go if you can...

10:45 A.M. Up-Date...
The Sun's Out!!!
Just off the cuff... we'd say first in about 2 weeks or so...
Not yet up at the Summit , but for sure you can see shadows
at the South Base level.
Here's a Web Cam Snap Shot... Temp up to +2 C, South Resort Base level...
not enough to cause any concern for today anyway...

95/95(*) Open trails on the 4 beautiful sides of Tremblant!
Seems like weeks since we've seen the sun at Tremblant....
There's been the odd bright spot, but outright sunlight... it's
definitely been a while....
Partially Sunny forecast for this morning though, so all we have to do is
wait and see...
In the Mean-time, doing the customary Web Cam Homework....
It's Still All Winter... from the Top Down, and we're happy with that!
It's still Summit Snow Cloud Fog, and we're happy about that too because
it means when things are this close @ -2C and supposed to be a wee bit
into + 2 C or so, keeping solar energy off the Snow Surfaces is desirable
if you want those beautiful Pure Winter morning Snow Conditions tomorrow
just the same as this morning.
Below: The Full Colour, Black 'n White world of Tremblant under Snow
Cloud Overcast... We love it !!!
Here' our early morning one.pic sample scene forecast....
go find it... As faint as it may seem, looking frame left, there's a tiny hint of golden
coloured Birch Bark Tree trunk hiding in the shadows.... otherwise a gorgeously
grey day... at least early on.
Pg. Under construction... go now if you can....
This Winter Thing is not going to last forever....

If you would like to look up dates you visited Tremblant, or you
want to research days/weeks/months to visit, you can sample what
they look like historically, month by month, year by year.
GoTo: Archive, Search Reports by Date: Index: http://tinyurl.com/yktelmu
When reviewing dates from any of the past, numbered, archived pages,
you can use the "Previous Topic" or "Next Topic" buttons, located
screen far right, in upper date/message bar to scroll through sequential
dates, or use your browsers "back" button to stay on the selected index
page for non-sequential date reviews in either forward or reverse order.
There are approximately 6, 25 day Index pages per season.
(

First index page with the latest posts. That gives you an immediate,
current to 25 day past, review scroll of Winter Alpine Conditions by
consecutive date.)
