These pic's above and below, were taken the last day the edge was Open,
this past Sunday.

There is as good a base on Action as there is anywhere else as far as
we can tell, so after a few days without traffic and with the benefit
of Grooming, it should be quite fine.

Otherwise, the Open Trail count remains steady and we sure are liking
the overnight Sub-Zero to help keep it that way.

On A Completely Different Topic....

Over the course of Seasons and Years we get to know those we
see, often on a daily basis, who are responsible for both Customer
Service, and General Mountain User/Guide Information.
Every chance we get to capture some of those daily encounters,
we jump at, because they are part of Tremblant History.

These three pic's below(we ran the first one previously), are
less than 48 hours old and we can tell you for a fact, the smiles
and helpful assistance they provide are non-stop, all day, every day,
for all the hours of the entire season, no matter when.

Ready....

Anyone attending Tremblant for the first or infrequent visit(s),
will be faced with a Mountain of almost overwhelming choice and that's
where the Members of the Mountain Info. Crews as well as Official Members
of the Tremblant Customer Service Team are a tremendous resource.

Every day they share the vast knowledge they have of the Physical
Mountain as well as all the operational and utility systems such as
lift openings, lodge openings and closings, special events, supplemental
trail information, to name only a few examples, with thousands of
Tremblant Guests.

Back Out On The Mountain...

In General Terms...

Tremblant is in way above average coverage and quality for this point in time.

Look at the stat's.

A Year ago Today we had 18(*) open trails....
2 years ago 68(*) Open Trails...
3 years ago 43(*) Open Trails...

Today we have 90(*) Open Trails...

We have been consistently amazed at the ability of Mother Nature to keep
Tremblant just on the right side of the freezing mark for great Snow
conditions. That has translated into not only more acreage, but better
condition too.

We want to encourage all Tremblant fans that can make it out, to do so.

If you have complaints about these conditions, on this date, you are
inexperienced, unreasonable, way too fussy.... or all of those things at once.

It's not perfect, but it's not the middle of February either.

The South, including Soleil, are definitely making some thawing,
sticky zones in primarily in the lower run-outs. There's the odd growing
bare or rocky debris zone where traffic and thermal are working on the
snow. It's almost the first of April... you can expect that now, usually there
are way more glitches and less open, so we're very lucky to have this fine
array of terrain to work with, this late.

Cruisin' the North...

The surfaces least affected by daily temp fluctuations around freezing
and radiant Solar energy, are definitely those of the North.

To begin with its cooler there by a couple of degrees usually,
more at the Summit. Secondly, it's in the shade a lot, so less
sun damage from direct... although there is some, it's just not as
intense.

It could get up to +8 C again today... Freeze tonight though.

Pg.Under construct...

March... almost over??? what happened there???

It seemed to go so quickly... but then again, they say time
flies when you're having fun, and anyone who has had
the privilege of being at Tremblant over this March
will confirm just how true that is.

Notice:

Tremblant Resort And Area Local Drivers...

The Deer are running around in packs like lost puppies
and they run across the roads without looking or any other
consideration. They will leap over a snowbank and land
on the hood of your car if your going too fast to react.

Slow down around the Resort and Surrounding areas.

We think we know why they are so densely traversing the Local
Areas right now...

We think they are eating the easiest food available, the fresh spring
shoot's of new grass on the Golf Course fairways and greens.

Why go digging through the snow when you can go over here, over there,
back and forth, side to side, end to end, across the way... to all these
beautiful and abundant food sources without any more effort than running over there.

Watch out ...

:) Bring Back The Memories... Research Future Visits...
If you would like to look up dates you visited Tremblant, or you
want to research days/weeks/months to visit, you can sample what
they look like historically, month by month, year by year.

GoTo: Archive, Search Reports by Date: Index: http://tinyurl.com/yktelmu

When reviewing dates from any of the past, numbered, archived pages,
you can use the "Previous Topic" or "Next Topic" buttons, located
screen far right, in upper date/message bar to scroll through sequential
dates, or use your browsers "back" button to stay on the selected index
page for non-sequential date reviews in either forward or reverse order.

There are approximately 6, 25 day Index pages per season.

( If you "Bookmark" the link above, it will always take you to the
First index page with the latest posts. That gives you an immediate,
current to 25 day past, review scroll of Winter Alpine Conditions by
consecutive date.)
