T360 Apres Ski Edit @ 9:00 P.M.

A Brilliantly Sunny and Very Very Fine Spring Ski Day...
95 Open Trails was a very ambitious objective and we would
have to say that not all 95 were open at the same time.

We were not able to ski the whole Mountain to confirm that every
trail was opened, but there was clearly a lot going on in the way
of "Crop Rotation" style openings, there were some that were opened
and closed, there were some that were closed then opened, but
regardless, setting aside the fine points, there certainly was a
huge amount of terrain for the 30th of March.

All the typical "Spring" early morning icy after a Sub-Zero night,
but you know it's not melting at least. Long about 11:45 A.M. or so,
there was serious softening everywhere.

More later as time permits, but if you like Spring Skiing...

95/95(*) Open Trails... 100% Open Tremblant !!!!

We are not sure, for sure, but we think this might be one of, if not
the latest date(s) in the season that Tremblant has ever been 100% Open!

We Almost Never Annotate Orig. Full Size Photo's ... But Today...

Just for the fun of it....

We were riding up the Duncan quad a couple of days ago and saw this.
We thought to ourselves, what a cool co-incidence... We wonder if we'll
ever see 100% open again this season???
Otherwise, looking back through recent days... sunny is what you
should see all day, as in this sample from the 18th.
There is no doubt that there will be a huge potential variability
in the clearance and opening of runs currently designated "Progressive",
meaning "Gradually", when there is overnight frost on yesterdays
softened, damp snow. Coping with ice is a safety thing if big sectors are
effected, so waiting until the sun and warmer air work on them
reduces negative outcomes, and... it could be argued that in the long run,
it makes a better day for all.

Safety/Traffic/Surface Conditions/Caveat:

Explore very carefully this morning. It could be a busy weekend day too, so
appropriate speed control is vital for safety with regard to both Traffic and
Surface Conditions.

----------- Morning Up-Date @ 10:30 A.M. --------------

Pi'cs from about 8:45 A.M. This morning...

It's a frosty early one in terms of the latest daytime high Plus 10's,
but once this sun gets on 'em, we do't think it will take long to soften.
The interesting thing about these two is the Groomers coming down
Biere-en-Bas, just below the TGV.

This tells us that with so much going on all over the Mountain, Crews
are working overtime to keep up with the chores.
Reports are coming back to us stating all the usual Spring Early Morning
firmness and ice, but those will become less and less as both the Sun
and the Air temperature get everything loosened up.

A lot of Tremblant is just going to be Heavenly this afternoon...
