T360 Late Night Apres Ski....
Full Version Attached Below as "Reply" @ 10:30 P.M.

T360 Apres Ski Intro. @ 9:40 P.M.
It Was That Kind Of Day...
Sunny, Snowy, Smooth, Scenic, Serene, Swift...
sometimes all, and all in the matter of a few Metres.
Regular readers and friends will know how very fine this
Andy-Moe started descent path can be, today was a shining
example. Smooth, Fast 'n Fun!
Depending on who's forecast you pay attention to, tomorrow
could see either rain or snow, or both, with a Weather Network
probability of 90% rain in the afternoon. The Preliminary Snow
Report, subject to confirmation, shows 68(*) open trails.
We'll be arriving at the Mountain with our Descente Poncho... just in case.
More in a full Apres Ski, if time permits, at about 10:30 P.M.
--------------- 7:05 A.M. Orig.Post -----------------
68(*) Open Trails on the magnificent Spring Slopes of Tremblant!
The Sun Sets On Another Day...
The Sun Sets On Another Season...
...and this is the summary of both...
It seems absolutely incredible that with....
this much Snow...
the base in this excellent condition...
the coverage this complete....
...that today and tomorrow are the last 2 Official days in the Season.
It's true... the time has come and even though there's enough snow
to ski until May on some sectors of Tremblant, people's attention turns
to other, later Spring type activities, like Yard Work, or Golf... and our
lifts become silent as the snow beneath them gradually disappears.
All we can do is cherish these two days exactly the way we cherish every
single day we have the honour and privilege to be at Tremblant, regardless
of when they occur during the season.
The advantage of this year though, is without question, the sustained
very high surface quality that has been present since Opening Day
back in November and has remained constant each and every morning since.
Please Note: Bonus Weekend, Next Weekend Open Friday, Saturday, Sunday.
Subject to confirmation.
Anyone who's a long term Tremblant Fan is going to confirm that this
has been an outstanding season of all-round excellence as framed within
the context of yearly comparisons.
If it's possible that seasons help define an area, then surely this should
be remembered as "One of those Years" that places Tremblant at the very
top of Winter Alpine Snow Sports destinations.
But then again... that's typical for Tremblant that has been setting standards
of excellence for some 75 some odd years.
Insert Date Here:
January 6th...
February 6th...
March 6th...
This picture would work for any of those dates and the very special part
is that for this year, this season ... it works for April 6th too.
April 5th, 2013 ...??? ...
Oh Yeah... April 5th, 2013 ...??? ...
Yup, this one too... April 5th, 2013 ...???...
Everywhere you look.... looks like winter... on April 5th, 2013.
Todays Weather... Blazing Sun... Starts cool at -6C, then moving up
to maybe +1C just after lunch... Very pleasant cool Spring day with
relatively light breezes from the Nor-West, crossing the Summit
from Nansen/La Crete, towards Duncan. Most of the Mountain, Summit and
North Sectors will stay all winter, all day. Some South Sectors could see
softening as te solar energy builds, but the skiing will be fantastic "Spring"
where that occurs.
A great day for the Annual "Caribou Cup" Open Water Cross, at the foot of
the South Resort Side, base of Johannsen @ 2:00P.M. Care for a Dip in the Pool?
How 'bout at 20 KMPH!?!? Refreshments available afterwards...
Scene From Last Seasons Caribou Cup. Conditions are generally excellent... with the very odd icy substrate, but so few
as to be considered insignificant. If there are glitches, they might even be
from too much snow in some areas where beginners or intermediates might
find some thickness in the top layers. Tremblant did get a moderate Orographic
Precipitation event night before last, so the thickness we talk about can be
best described with this typical scene below. For all skill levels, Tremblant is a skiers heaven for this time of year,
but for experts and confident intermediates, even more so.

Trail and Grooming Status Report, Courtesy of Tremblant.ca
This has been the year of...
Wall to Wall Winter. Period.
Right from day one, with the record for the highest number of
Open Trails... ever... as far as we know, to right this second,
April 6th, 2013, this season has been a pure Winter Alpine
Snow Sports delight.
--------------- Quick Editorial Note ---------------------
Notes to Future Tremblant Historians and Trip Planners:
This is an exceptional year, but it in no way diminishes the
enthusiasm we would have for ANY season's end at Tremblant,
great or small. Conditions are always relative and true Ski/Board
fans are excited to be on the slopes no matter what, and when you
scan through the seasons end records in this archive, you'll see
that over and over.
Our recommendation is now as it always has been...
Get to Tremblant as soon and as often as you can for
the very best possible conditions relative to ANY season.
