TOTAL OPEN TRAILS NOW @55(*)
--------------- 5:27 A.M. Orig. Post --------------
39(*) Open Trails at Tremblant, as of 5:46 A.M.
Evidently, @ 5:27 we were a bit early for the Official Open Trails
list this morning as we enter into the closing phases of
this seasons January Thaw.
When the "Yesterday" Open Trail Number was small, we're happy
to see delays in the "Today" Open Trail List because it typically means
the number is not going to remain the same, and it will be going up, but
as yet, is unverified.
Taking a few extra moments to confirm a growing number of Open Trails
the morning after a Huge bad weather event is fine with us anytime!
Also very nice to see on the list this morning... 12 "Progressive"
or expected very soon, North Side Trails that are sort of a preview
of progress and very likely to be added either later on today, or
tomorrow morning.
That would be tracking along towards just over 50 Open within the
next 24 Hours. Great Recovery Performance!
Conditions should be all of "Firm and Fast" and there are loads of
Groomed icons, so Miles 'n Miles Of Fresh Corduroy !
Summit Sub-Zero's Are The Best Sign Of Stable Top-Side Conditions!
--------- -------- Conditions Caveats: ------------- -----------
The Majority of Open, Groomed, Alpine Snow Sport Surfaces are fine...
However....
There Are Ice Patches and Icy Substrates of Dynamic shape and
Unspecified Location that need to be navigated with extreme
CAUTION.
Daily Weather and Traffic patterns can alter the size and frequency
with which these Icy sectors are encountered.
MAKE INITIAL EXPLORATIONS AT REDUCED SPEED TO DETERMINE
SAFE PASSAGE.
Allow DOUBLE WIDE EXTRA PASSING SPACE.
------------------------------------------------------------------
Todays Weather:
Forecast to be Sunny this morning with clouds filling in as the
day progresses and temp rising to South Resort Base Levels
at Plus 3 C with South Winds rising over the Summit from
between Duncan and Soleil and moving towards La Crete, Nansen
at Moderate Speeds.
With that Base level, the Summit should hopefully not see much above
-2 C, so with any luck, the "Cold Air Sinks" part of Convection, may
help keep Alpine Snow Sport Surfaces firm.

Bring Back The Memories...
Research Future Visits...
If you would like to look up dates you visited Tremblant, or you
want to research days/weeks/months to visit, you can sample what
they look like historically, month by month, year by year.
GoTo: Archive, Search Reports by Date: Index: http://tinyurl.com/yktelmu
When reviewing dates from any of the past, numbered, archived pages,
you can use the "Previous Topic" or "Next Topic" buttons, located
screen far right, in upper date/message bar to scroll through sequential
dates, or use your browsers "back" button to stay on the selected index
page for non-sequential date reviews in either forward or reverse order.
There are approximately 6, 25 day Index pages per season.
(
If you "Bookmark" the link above, it will always take you to the
First index page with the latest posts. That gives you an immediate,
current to 25 day past, review scroll of Winter Alpine Conditions by
consecutive date.)
